12 Indian Army soldiers killed in Kashmir avalanches

12 Indian Army soldiers killed in Kashmir avalanches

Two massive avalanches in Indian-occupied Kashmir killed at least 11 soldiers, and at least eight others were feared trapped in a military camp that was partially buried under snow, an official said Thursday. Col. K.S. Grewal said three of the soldiers were killed in the mountainous area of Sonamarg and eight were killed at a large army camp in Dawar, a town close to the heavily militarized cease-fire line that divides Kashmir between India and Pakistan. The avalanche struck at 9.15 pm last night but information about the tragedy started trickling in this morning as Gurez Valley is cut off from rest of the country due to heavy snowfall during winter.

Kabul: Taliban  applauded Afghan people regarding their protest against blasphemy of the Quran, by US troops outside Bagram Air base and urged them to carry out attacks on US forces in Afghanistan.

On Tuesday, the Quran was burned in a pile of garbage at a US military base in Afghanistan which had enraged the people.

Similar protests were witnessed in neighbouring Pakistan on Wednesday.

People of Balochistan want Freedom from Sardars: Muhabbat Khan Mari

As a US lawmaker tabled bill in the House of Representatives, espousing self-determination for Balochistan, Pakistani media has been airing string of programmes and holding debates on the issue with several Baloch leaders sharing their views on how to redress the miseries of people of Pakistan’s southwestern province.

In an interview with a local Urdu daily published here on Tuesday, senior Baloch leader and provincial minister Muhabbat Khan Mari has said that Baloch separatist leaders were responsible for all the problems facing the people of Balochistan. He says it seems absolutely ridiculous when Baloch Sardars like Attaulluh Mengal, Akhtar Mengal, Nawab Khair Bux Mari, Barhamdagh Bugti and Herbyar Mari speak about rights of Balochis as they were who exploited the nation.

He said had there been people support for Herbyar Mari, there would have been his influence in at least three Tehseels of the province.

Muhabbat Mari claims only five percent of people have been supporting the separatists.

He says every Baloch child is ready to shed his last drop of blood for Pakistan.

When asked to elaborate situation in Kohlu district, deemed as stronghold of separatists, he said on the one side there were 180 million people of Pakistan while on the other hand only handful of terrorists and still the government of Pakistan seemed to be failed in controlling the miscreants. “Seeking separation is not new for this Sardars,” he said and added Khair Bux Mari lived in Russia for 20 years while his son Herbyar Mari had also been living in Europe. “They have no influence in Kohlu district despite they offered Rs10, 000 to jobless youth to join them,” he said. Mr Mari added that he knew financial status of Mari separatist Sardars and they could not purchase weapons. “Now they are having weapons and living in expensive cities like London. How come deprived Balochs live such a luxurious lives”.

He said Herbayar Mari had spent time in a London jail and was released after Rehman Malik’s efforts.

When asked to comment on excesses with Baloch, Mr Mari said it was beyond any doubt that excesses were committed not other than Baloch Sardars who ruled the province as governors and chife ministers. “I ask them what measures they took for providing basic amenities, education and employment to Baloch people,”. He said Sardars were responsible for injustices as they tried to make Balochis their salves.

He recalls the past and says Nawab Mehrullah Mari, father of famous Baloch leader Khair Bux Mari, didn’t allow British government to open a primary school in his area some 95 years ago. He said the Sardars wanted to keep people away from education.

Answering a question whether Baloch separatists could achieve their goal through US intervention he said: “Even father of this terrorist will not be able to achieve this goal”. We will free people of Balochistan form the shackles of this Sardars and our children would scarify for the integrity of Pakistan.

He also denied that any military operation was going on in the province. Mari said India was funneling arms and money to terrorists in Dera Murad Jamali, Sibbi, Kohlu and Makran through Afghanistan.

Religious Parties Call for Jihad Against America

ISLAMABAD – A large number of people protested against the US policies on Monday as they gathered under the umbrella of Difa-e-Pakistan Council (DPC) in the heart of federal capital Monday.

The lively and charged crowd responded with great enthusiasm when the speakers chanted “death to America” and demanded jihad (holy war) against the US which was, according to them, a bitter enemy of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

“America wants to get hold of our nuclear assets. Sadly, the incumbent leaders of Pakistan are also playing in the hands of Americans. Let us join hands and step forward to break Pakistani government’s alliance with the US to save Pakistan,” speakers said, addressing the charged crowd.

Supporters and leaders of as many as 40 parties participated in the show of ‘Defence of Pakistan’ which in fact, failed to attract majority of students and ‘progressive class’ of the country.

“Today, we have gathered here to raise a voice of protest against the US intervention in Pakistan. Who will join hands with us in this noble cause,” Maulana Samiul Haq asked the participants.

Speaking on the occasion, former head of ISI General (retd) Hamid Gul told participants that the US policies in the region, especially in Pakistan were the root cause of main problems in the country. He urged the participants to get united and struggle against the US policies to rid the country of its trouble.

“Our protest is against the possible resumption of Nato supplies, US and Indian occupation and to strengthen the country’s defence,” speakers said. The speakers made it clear that the US presence in the region was only meant to break Pakistan. “America wants to break Pakistan into pieces. Now they are conspiring to deprive Pakistan of Balochistan. We will call All-Party Conference on Balochistan soon,” speakers said.

The huge crowd responded to the speakers when they shouted slogans like “Death to America” and “America deserves one treatment: jihad, jihad”.

“America can never be our friend, it is our biggest enemy. America will be defeated in Afghanistan and divided into pieces,” Mian Aslam, a former lawmaker from Jamaat-e-Islami party told the rally.

Banners sprung up in the rally denounced US drone strikes, government’s decision to grant India most favoured nation status in a bid to ease trade and reopening of the Afghan border for Nato supply.

“Go America Go,” “No to Nato,” “Arrogant Americans – others are also human beings,” and “the chains of slavery will be broken now,” the banners read.

Difa-e-Pakistan Council has attracted huge gatherings at a series of rallies across the country that some see as a build up to contesting next general election, which could be called within months.

Three prominent leaders: Jamaatud Dawa head Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat President Maulana Ahmed Ludhianvi and Secretary General Dr Khadim Hussain Dhillon did not participate in the DPC sit-in. The capital administration on Saturday banned the entry of Ludhianvi, Dhillon and Hafiz Saeed Ahmad in Islamabad for four days.

Pakistan Navy Receives US Surveillance P3C Aircraft‏

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani navy took delivery Tuesday of two state-of-the-art, US-made surveillance aircraft nine months after militants destroyed two similar planes, officials said.

Pakistan said the P3C aircraft, modified with the latest avionics, are designed to improve surveillance in the North Arabian sea, one of the world’s most important shipping routes deeply troubled by Somali piracy.

“The two aircraft have been delivered to the Pakistan navy. These aircraft have been provided under the foreign military funding programme,” a spokesman for the US embassy in Islamabad, told AFP.

The navy said the aircraft would help “maintain requisite vigil in our vital area of interest in the North Arabian Sea”, which it said was “home to intense maritime activity both legal and illegal and thus warrants continuous guard”.

Pakistan is to receive six P3C aircraft from the United States in three batches. The first two, received in 2010, were destroyed during a 17-hour siege of a key naval base in Karachi last May blamed on the TTP.

Pakistan to Expose US, Indian Interference in Baluchistan

Islamabad—In a tit for tat, the government has started preparation for providing proof of US and Indian intervention in Balochistan to Parliamentary Committees and Parliament House after the introduction of a resolution in US Congress on Balochistan.

Highly reliable sources, said that the US has been active for a long time to encourage extremist elements for separation of Balochistan from Pakistan through India, which is active as a front man.

In order to avoid further tension in relations with US and India, the government in the past kept silence over the interference of the two countries in Balochistan and FATA but now it has decided to take the parliament into confidence with solid proof. For this purpose, special briefings would be held for the Parliamentary committees. It is also being considered to raise the issue of foreign intervention in Balochistan at different international forums.

The sources said the US encouraged India to strengthen its spy network in Afghanistan by facilitating the opening of Consulates close to Pakistani borders which in reality are the centres for intelligence agency “RAW”. Through these centres, RAW was openly extending financial and material support to the anti-state elements. Some of the activities of these elements are also being financed by the US government.

The US has been pressing Pakistan for the opening of a consulate in Quetta and deployment of CIA staff there under the pretext that Washington needs to keep an eye on the so-called Taliban’s Quetta shoora. However, the government fully aware of the US intentions did not allow the opening of Consulate in Quetta.

The sources pointed out that when Shahzain Bugti, the grand son of late Nawab Akbar Bugti, was arrested by Frontier Constabulary in Quetta, he first of all contacted the US Embassy in Islamabad. They said it was a clear proof that the Americans were in league with separatist elements in Balochistan and providing them arms and finances for the attainment of their nefarious designs.—INP

Boosting Air defence: F-16s Replace Americans at Jacobabad Airbase

The Pakistan Air Force (PAF), in a significant move, has equipped the newly renovated Jacobabad airbase with close to three dozen F-16s, including the advanced Block 52+ version of the aircraft.

Pakistan has spent over $3.75 billion on both the revamping of Jacobabad airbase and the acquisition of new planes, officials told The Express Tribune. The air force is in a better position to encounter any threats after acquiring the new F-16s which are capable of carrying nuclear weapons, they added.

Defence analyst Lt General (retd) Talat Masood said this was a significant development especially as it had come months after the Americans had quit the airbase. Masood, however, warned of a shift in the strategic balance of the region, saying “India’s new aircraft deal with France would leave Pakistan far behind”. For all intents and purposes, he said, Pakistan should continue its cooperation with the US to enhance its defence capability. “Pakistan and the US are reciprocal when it comes to regional stability in South Asia,” he added.

India is all set to reach an agreement with France over the purchase of 126 medium multi-role combat aircraft (MMRCA) costing over $12 billion, making it the largest international defence deal by value in recent years, according to Indian media. Chief of Air Staff Rao Qamar Suleman and Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani had formally announced the completion of Jacobabad Airbase on  February 12. The Chief of Air Staff said that all American personnel, including the Training Support Team for the new F-16s, have left after training PAF pilots and other technical staff.

“The new F-16 Block 52 fleet will pave the way for establishing the balance of power in the region,” said General Kayani.

“This airbase is now the largest platform for modern aircraft capable of carrying nuclear weapons,” a senior PAF official told The Express Tribune. “It’s an outcome of years long cooperation between Pakistan and the US.”

Pakistan had purchased 18 new F-16 Block 52+ aircraft, while 14 used F-16s were supplied free of charge by the US. The US Training Support Team consisted of over 200 personnel, including staff to train PAF personnel on making the aircraft operational. PAF has also recruited over 4, 000 employees for the newly renovated strategic airbase which is located close to the western frontier bordering both Iran and Afghanistan.

`Baluchistan` Propaganda of the Indian agents Exposed !

Dear Pakistanis, Let us update you on Baluchistan. Read this carefully and slowly.

Do NOT panic. InshAllah, Baluchistan is not going anywhere. The enemies and the traitors within cannot break away Baluchistan. There is a deliberate information war by the likes of SAFMA to create the hype to give this perception that Pakistan is breaking up. Stay firm and stay united. There is no power on earth which can undo Pakistan, InshAllah.

Baluchistan is 42 % of Pakistan territory. Its population is only 4% of Pakistan, about 8 million. Out of this, nearly 5 million are Pashtuns, Brahwis, Makranis, Punjabis and Sindhi Pakistani Muslims who have no problem at all. Within the Baluch Muslims Pakistanis, 90% are with Pakistan alhamdolillah. The separatists are just a few thousand misguided men from only 4 districts out of 28 districts of the province.

Hyberyar Marri, Brahmadagh Bugti and Attaullah Mengal are taking help from US and India to wage a war against Pakistan but the reality is even within Bugti and marri tribe, there are thousands of youth who are great patriot Muslims and love Pakistan.

Nawab Akbar Bugti had exiled his own tribe of Raheja, Kalpar and Messori sub-tribes into Multan and Dera Ghazi Khan for 15 years and had taken over their lands in Sui and Dera Bugti. He persecuted his own Baluch people and killed his own family members for demanding rights.

This is where Pakistan army intervened in 2004 to protect Baluch Bugti tribe from the crimes of Akbar Bugti in 2004 and helped the Kalpar, Messori and Raheja Bugtis to come back to their native lands. Upon this Akbar Bugti started a war against Pakistan and was then chased out into the hills where he committed suicide. Yes, Akbar Bugti committed suicide and he was NOT killed by the army.
Today, the MNA from dera Bugti is Mir Ahmadan Bugti, a patriotic Raheja Baluch, a first cousin of Akbar Bugti, who was exiled with over a hundred thousand Baluchs by Akbar Bugti. Army brought him back. He is the MNA and has been elected by the entire Bugti tribe and he defends Pakistan against terrorists of Brahmadagh Bugti. You hear the interviews of Brahmadagh in this SAFMA controlled media but you never hear the voice of Mir Ahmadan Bugti, the real patriotic Bugti Baluch Muslim and Pakistani! This is how media manipulates the truth. Go and ask Mir Ahmadan Bugti about the truth of Bugtis being against Pakistan and he will show you how proud Bugtis stand with Pakistan!

There is no government in Pakistan today, even in Islamabad and the country is in a state of war being invaded by enemies from all sides. If Pakistan army does not stop the TTP and the BLA terrorists, the country would be destroyed by now. That is why you see all the fake propaganda against the missing persons and army atrocities against the Baluch. In reality, FC and Pak army are defending Pakistan against Indian backed insurgencies where even the CIA is involved. There is a massive infighting between the BRA and BLA also where both groups are killing each other for weapons, money and turf. They kill each other and then blame army for the murders. Many have gone to Afghanistan for training and their families register them as missing persons. This is all part of the war against Pak army and the media is fuelling this war.

Americans want to take over Gawader. The recent resolution in US congress has encouraged the exiled separatists that they can use the CIA and India for a Libyan styled invasion. Never InshAllah! As long as Pakistan can block the NATO supplies, US do not have the resources and the weapons to make a landing at Gawader. If we release the supplies, then the Americans can make such a plan but even then, there will be fighting but Baluchistan can never be separated from Pakistan, InshAllah.

The situation in Baluchistan is NOT like of East Pakistan. The few thousand insurgents can blow up few pipelines and kills a few Muslims and soldiers but they can never break Pakistan which is under the shadow of Rasul Allah (sm).
Even today, from Governor to Chief Minister to ministers, all are Baluch in the government. The President of Pakistan is also a Baluch. Farooq Leghari was a Baluch also. Mazari was the prime Minister and was a Baluch also. Jamali was the PM and was a Baluch also. Baluchis Pakistanis Muslims from Baluchistan have reached the highest offices of this country. If Baluchistan have not received developments, they are responsible, not the army or the ISI. The whole country is suffering today not just Baluchistan.

The only way to end the suffering of the people is to bring the system of Khilafat e Rashida in the country and implement the Islamic system of social justice. The system of present day is Zalim, not the country. The solution is come under the shadow of Rasul Allah (sm) not to wage a war against Rasul Allah (sm), on whose orders this Pak Sarzameen was created.

We invite all Baluch youth to join hands with us in Takmeel e Pakistan to bring in the system of Khilafate Rashida so that all zulm can be eliminated and due rights can be shared within Muslims. But we will fight against all those who want to break the Pakistan of Rasul Allah (sm). By Allah, we will!

Now you know the truth. Spread it far and wide and do not fall for the propaganda of the enemies. InshAllah khair. This Pakistan is here to stay, alhamdolillah. Enemies can go to hell !

Palestinian Solar Energy Program Demolished By Israel

A sustainable energy program in ‘Area C’ of rural West Bank is being threatened by Israeli authorities. The program, which recently installed solar panels and wind turbines in 16 communities, is providing 1,500 Palestinians with electricity — who were formerly without reliable energy.

(Photo: AFP/Menahem Kahana)

The foreign aid program, thus far successful, has become a new target for Israel as it threatens to demolish the structures that supposedly lie within Israeli ‘administration’.

* * *

Der Spiegel reports:

The best part is when the lights in the tents go on, one by one, says Elad Orian. Electricity here, in the hills south of Hebron, was long unreliable. Either it was not available or it was too expensive, produced for just a few hours each day by a noisy, diesel-guzzling generator. That changed when Elad Orian and Noam Dotan, two Israeli physicians who had tired of conflict, came along three years ago and installed solar panels and erected wind turbines. Since then, such facilities have been installed in 16 communities, providing 1,500 Palestinians with electricity. [...]

The success, though, could soon be a thing of the past. Israel has threatened to tear them down with five municipalities in recent weeks having received “stop work” orders — the first step on the road to demolition. The problem is that the facilities are in the so-called Area C, which covers 60 percent of the West Bank and is administered by Israel. Permission from the Israelis is a requirement before construction projects can move ahead — and permits are almost never given to Palestinians. [...]

European diplomats in Ramallah and Tel Aviv suspect that the demolition orders are a reaction to a recently drafted, unusually critical EU report on the situation in Area C. It states: “The window for a two-state solution is closing rapidly with the continued expansion of Israeli settlements.” The conclusion: The EU needs to target investment in economic development and improved living conditions of Palestinians in Area C. [...]

“What can you do if there are impediments to development, such as an undefined de-development policy?” says Tsafrir Cohen, Middle East coordinator of Medico International, which supported two of the systems.

A few months ago, a similar project co-financed by the Spanish government was scheduled for demolition, something which has been prevented thus far through massive diplomatic pressure.

Projects funded by foreign aid organizations or the EU have often been destroyed in the past, the best known example being the Gaza airport, financed with $38 million from the EU only to be destroyed by Israeli bombs a short time after its construction. Generally, though, the demolitions have been the result of security concerns. The fact that harmless solar cells — installations which are funded by allied countries to provide basic humanitarian needs — are at risk of demolition is a new development. [...]

Hundreds of people live in the village, and they are the poorest of the poor. A community of shepherds, they moved freely through the area until Israel occupied the West Bank in 1967. Since then, they have settled, collecting rain water during the winter and buying expensive drinking water brought in by a truck along a gravel track in the summer. A well-maintained road to the settlement doesn’t exist, despite the fact that Shaab al-Buttum lies between two Israeli outposts. The settlements are illegal, but miraculously they have all the basics their Palestinian neighbors are missing: electricity, water and roads.

* * *

Ma’an News reports:

In recent months, the army issued demolition warnings against six solar and wind power systems in the South Hebron Hills, which were funded by European governments and development groups.

“What can you do if there are impediments to development, such as an undefined de-development policy?” says Tsafrir Cohen, Middle East coordinator of Medico International, which supported two of the systems.

Known locally as Masafer Yatta, the communities lie almost entirely in Area C, the 62 percent of the West Bank under full Israel civil and security control since the 1993 Oslo Accords. [...]

Cohen says if Medico International abandons development work in Area C, moving to Palestinian Authority-controlled areas where permits are not a problem, they would do little more than “painting the walls of Bantustans.”

“We cannot just facilitate a nice jail cell, and a system where people don’t have rights.” [...]

Threats to demolish vital village resources are intended to “silently move us from the land,” village council head Ali Muhammad Ali Heirezat says. “We have been here since 1948, and we don’t have another place to go.”

* * *

Several West Bank villages had been without electricity for years. Not long ago, however, international funding and an Israeli foundation made it possible to erect solar panels and wind turbines. In total, 16 communities with 1,500 residents have benefited. Here, a woman in the West Bank village of Susya.

Divided, Faithless, Undisciplined~We are proud Pakistani’s~

Minar_-e_Pakistan

Zaryab Baloch

When the father of this nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, was inaugurating Pakistan, he only had one thing to say which was that the great leader wanted to see a society where unity, faith, discipline would be the motto of the people.

Today, all we see is divided, faithless, undisciplined, as being the way we are leading our lives and play the blame game with exceptional manner instead of truly changing the way we personally are ourselves.

The saying, “Charity starts from home”, should be taken it its wider sense meaning that any sort of change should be brought from within you and not on targeting the other.

What we have failed to realise is that united we stand and divided we fall was said for a reason, but this society has done nothing to enforce national unity but rather separate it in total.

The creation of provinces has been labelled as being against national interest due to the demands of creating borders on the basis of societal classification, but do we not see, the current system has not benefitted it as we still classify each other as
being either Sindhi, Punjabi, Pushtoon or Balochi.

Forgetting our religion and giving up hope of the divine entity has been another reason for our destruction as a civilised society with western ideas and thinking beginning to prevail and the youth mirroring what they see and hear on TV channels.

Losing our identity has kept us from achieving greatness and uniqueness amongst the international platform as we feel ashamed going to a public gathering supporting our national dress and would rather be seen in the latest designer clothing.

One thing that makes a country like China great is the way they propagate their beliefs and culture amongst other nations, impressing foreigners into learning their language and even consider dressing and living like them due to a simple yet beautiful nature.

There is a popular saying that you can check the condition of a society by looking at their roads and seeing how our people drive, one could only but bow down in outright shame.

But all this does not mean we do not have any hope for the future. What many fail to realise is that Pakistan has immense potential to be one of the leading nations in the world due to the amount of talent and capabilities we possess, but tapping them is
the only requirement.

Working towards self and national development at each and every stage is the only way that we will hopefully raise our heads in front of others and want to say that we are proud Pakistani’s.

Holy Prophet (PBUH) in dream asked Jinnah to lead Muslims

Quaid related his dream to Allama Usmani, Chaudry Fazl-e-Haque quotes Usmani

Islamabad—As against general impression that the Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah had returned to India from London in end 1934 on persuasion by prominent Muslim leaders, the new evidence proves that the Quaid decided to end his self exile after he dreamt of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) who asked him to go to India and lead the Muslims in their struggle for a separate homeland for the Muslims of South Asia.

During an exclusive interview with Pakistan Observer, former Interior Secretary, Chaudry Fazl-e-Haque, talked about some episodes relating to his meetings with Quaid-i-Azam and Allama Shabbir Ahmed Usmani who were kind to him for his devotion to the cause of Pakistan.

Chaudry Fazl-e-Haque, now in 90s, who had frequent chances to meet with Quaid-i-Azam and Quaid’s very close associate and confidant, Allama Shabbir Ahmed Usmani, said that Mr Jinnah had told Allama about his dream, in New Delhi when the Pakistan movement had been launched by the Quaid. The Quaid-i-Azam asked Allama Shabbir Ahmed Usmani not to mention the dream to anyone during his (Quaid’s) life time.

Chaudry Fazl-e-Haque as a great devotee of Quaid-i-Azam would visit him in New Delhi during 1940s when he was also there. The Quaid though living in Bombay visited the Indian Capital during assembly sessions, meetings with viceroy, party conferences and exchanges of views with Congress leaders. The Quaid was kind to him and met him briefly after his breakfast. It was there that he developed his relationship with Allama Shabbir Ahmed Usmani who also frequently visited the Quaid in the morning before Mr. Jinnah took up his day,s work.

After the emergence of Pakistan, Allama Shabbir Ahmed Usmani migrated to Karachi where he had the unique honour of unfurling national flag at the ceremony marking the Independence Day in the presence of the Founder of the State. After the demise of Quaid-i-Azam, Chaudry Fazl-e-Haque who was serving the police department in Karachi, had frequent meetings with Allama Shabbir Ahmed Usmani. During those meetings the main topic was naturally the personality of the Founder of Pakistan. As both the Allama and Chaudry were highly devoted to Quaid-i-Azam, they would fondly recall moments they had the privilege to have spent with him. During one such meeting between the two, the topic was Return of the Quaid to India in 1934 and his assumption of All India Muslim League’s leadership. When Chaudry Fazl-e-Haque talked about people who as common belief had been, motivated Mr. Jinnah to return to India and assume their leadership, Allama Shabbir Ahmed Usmani spontaneously reacted saying the reality was something else. And then he narrated an episode, that had never been mentioned by anyone. The Allama said that a couple of years before the emergence of Pakistan, he was discussing something with Mr. Jinnah and there was a reference to his return to India in 1934. When Allama Shabbir Ahmed Usmani mentioned names of the people who he believed had motivated the Quaid to end his exile, Mr. Jinnah said it was not the correct impression. He told Allama Shabbir Ahmed Usmani about his dream of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and said he had returned to India in 1934 on order by the Prophet (PBUH) he loved most.

Allama Shabbir Ahmed Usmani quoted the Quaid-i-Azam as saying:

“One evening, I was strolling in the lawn of my house in London when I smelt a unique fragrance. First I thought it was temporary phenomenon but the fragrance continued to prevail in the air. I could not understand as to what was the source of that fragrance. I decided to go to sleep. I could not sleep for quite some time. During sleep I saw a holy personality in my dream. The holy personality addressed me: ‘I am Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). I order you to go to India and lead the Muslims to their destiny. After the dream I awoke and started preparation for my return journey to India’.

Though Founder of Pakistan, Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah outwardly looked to be a Westernized man in terms of life-style, he had deep love for the Prophet (PBUH) and the Muslims of South Asia. That was the reason why he had devoted his life and all to the cause of the Muslims and fought relentlessly to attain rights they had been deprived of.

People who have studied various phases of the Pakistan Movement and political career of Mr. Jinnah or those who have had access to Quaid’s associates, are convinced that the Founder of Pakistan took guidance from the Holy Quran and life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). This scribe has been meeting with such people including the President, Nazriya Pakistan Council (NPC) Trust to have a better understanding of the Pakistan Movement and personality of the man who had emerged as the Sole Spokesman of the Muslims of the sub-Continent. They all agree that the Quaid’s commitment to the cause of the Muslims had no bounds. This scribe came to know that a former senior bureaucrat Chaudry Fazl-e-Haque, during his youth had chances of meeting the Quaid-i-Azam in New Delhi and also Quaid’s close associate Allama Shabbir Ahmed Usmani.

The testimony given by Chaudry Fazl-e-Haque clearly shows two facts: One that Quaid-i-Azam took up his mission after he was asked to return to India by the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in dream. This also shows his devotion to the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Two: That Pakistan came into being with the blessing of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

There are several events that indicate Quaid’s love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH). He had selected Lincoln Inn for his study of law in London when he was only a young boy. During the struggle for Pakistan, he on several occasions, stressed that the best role model for the Muslims in every respect is the Holy Prophet (PBUH). He always said that teachings of Islam as provided in the Holy Quran and examplified by life of the Holy Prophet were relevant for all times and climes.

He said the 11 suspects: Dr Niaz Ahmed Saqib, Mazhar ul Haq, Shafique ur Rehman, Abdul Basit, Abdul Saboor, Abdul Majid, Muhammad Amir Khan Khan, Muhammad Shafiq aka Maaz, Tehseen ullah, Saeed Arab aka Tariq Gul, Roze Khan aka Farman are hardcore terrorists, who were involved in planning, facilitating and executing suicide attacks on bus near Hamza Camp, on November 24 2007 and Kamra Air Base missile attack on January 15, 2008.

According to sources, on November 24, 2007 Rawalpindi experienced twin suicide attacks on security forces, which killed nearly 30 people and injured dozens more. The first vehicle-borne suicide attack took place at 0749 hours when a suicide bomber rammed his explosive-laden car into a 72-seater bus parked in front of ISI’s Hamza Camp (Previously known as Ojhri Camp) on the Murree Road.

According to eyewitnesses, the bus which was carrying ISI officials to their work place was completely burnt. The 28 victims inside the 72-seat bus were burnt beyond recognition and only skeletons were left lying on the seats before any rescue operation could be started.

The Security Official said 11 suspects of Adiala Jail who were detained legally by security agencies are all hard core terrorists who planned and executed Hamza Camp bus attack and GHQ Gate attack on November 24, 2007 and also Kamra missile attack on January 2008.

The Security Official said Dr Niaz Ahmed Saqib was the mastermind of Hamza Camp and GHQ attack on November 24, 2011. Trail of this attack which revealed during investigation is nothing less than a suspense movie. Dr Niaz was apprehended at Mardan on December 7,2007. He is a resident of Allama Iqbal Colony Rawalpindi. He is an educated man, who has done Masters in Political Science from Punjab University and also qualified himself in homeopathic medicines.

During custody, he admitted that in August 2007, he along with Umar Farooq (Nephew of Ghazi brothers), Mazhar, Nafees and Khalid decided to avenge Lal Masjid operation. Dr Niaz also financially assisted Ghazi brothers before security forces lanunched operation in 2007.

To this end Umar Farooq arranged their visit to Wana, South Wazirastan Agency where they met one Aslam who assured them of their full cooperation. On instructions of Aslam they carried out reconnaissance and made movies all targets which included Ojri camp, ISI HQ, Attock Oil Company, Chaklala Cantt, officers colonies. Mazhar took this video to Wana to show it to Yasin aka Aslam. In Mid October Dr Niaz with the help of Mazhar arranged two vehicles for targeting GHQ and Hamza Camp. Umer Farooq arranged these vehicles with the help of Abdul Majid, Abdul Basit and Abdul Saboor (3 borthers).

Then Shafiq ur Rehman transported explosive, anti personnel mines, 70 rounds of mortar, detonator by a Baleno car which was owned by Dr Niaz in two trips. All the equipment which was to be used for attack on GHQ and Hamza Camp was received at Misrial road and dumped at newly constructed house of Dr Niaz at Dhok Mustaqeem.

Dr Niaz, Mazhar and Khalid prepared both vehicles for suicide attacks at the same house. 45 mortars were placed inside Suzuki Van along with three mines. Similarly 35 mortar rounds alongwith three mines were fitted in Baleno car for the assigned mission. On November 21, Shafiq ur Rehman brought two suicide bombers from Wana to Rawalpindi. On November 22, Dr Niaz asked Noor Muhammad to bring both suicide bombers to Choor Chowk. Dr Niaz in his silver Sunny Car drove both the suicide bombers for orientation of the target.

They again went for orientation on November 23, and finalized their programme for next morning. On November 24, 2007 Noor Muhammad handed over one suicide bomber nominated for GHQ with Dr Niaz and took other one by taxi for handing over to Mazhar for Hamza Camp. At 0740 hours Dr Niaz was informed by Khalid who was at Kachehri Chowk that a two star had just passed.

Hearing this Dr Niaz handed over the Baleno car which was fully charged to a suicide bomber and took a taxi himself and left for Islamabad. He heard a blast enroute to Islamabad. The other suicide bomber who was with Mazhar reached in a Suzuki Van and parked it near PSO Petrol pump on Murree Road and started waiting for ISI bus. After handing over vehicle to a suicide bomber Mazhar also left for I-9 Markaz where Dr Niaz was waiting for him. Enroute Islamabad he heard a huge blast.

Another suspect Mazhar ul Haq is resident of I-9 Islamabad and was into rent a car business with the name of ‘Aman Rent a Car’. He joined an extremist group in 1996 and got training at Khalid Bin Waleed Camp. He also worked in Publicity Section of a banned outfit and there he got in contact with Dr Niaz. During Lal Masjid episode he helped Umer Farooq (nephew of Ghazi brothers) in transportation of ammunition from Darra. Dr Niaz alongwith Mazhar ul Haq and Khalid and Nafees used to visit Lal Masjid and helped in preparation of petrol bombs. He got weapon training from Ustad Mavia at Wana. After completing his training Ustad Mavia asked to carry out photography of targets at Rawalpindi and gave him money for purchase of a camera. After photography of targets he alongwith Niaz went to Wana and handed over the film to Ustad Mavia.

Mazhar was throughout helping Dr Niaz and party in carrying out preparation for attack on Hamza Camp. He was apprehended on March 28, 2008. Security Official disclosed that another suspect Shafique ur Rehman was apprehended on November 24, 2007. He is a resident of Mardan.

In 1999 Shafique got terrorist training and later joined a terrorist group. In November 2007 he met Baitullah Mehsud who dispatched two suicide bombers with him to Rawalpindi.

These suicide bombers were used in attack on Hamza camp and GHQ on November 24. He arrived at Rawalpindi from SWA alongwith two suicide bombers and stayed at a Baithak in Chishtian Abad from November 21 to 24, 2011. These suicide bombers were Mehsood by tribe. One Latif, 27 was tasked to target GHQ while Adnan 20 was to target Hamza Camp. Before he left Wana Baitullah Mehsood also gave him Rs 8000 for expenditure on suicidal attack. Shafique remained engaged till last and assisted in reconnaissance of targets by suicidal and later their transportation to sites.

Security Official said that Muhammad Aamir Khan is resident of Rawalpindi. In year 2000 he received training in weapon handling and firing at Resh Khor HUJI training camp Afghanistan.

After training he fought at Mazare Sharif, Afghanistan where he was apprehended by troops of Rasheed Dostam and shifted to Shabarghan jail where he spent three years. After three years he was handed over to Pakistan authorities and shifted to Peshawar and later Adiala

Jail. He was released on April 4, 2005. He started visiting Lal Masjid and established contacts with Ghazi brothers, Dr Niaz and Mazhar and also met Umer Farooq and Abdul Basit. He was apprehended on May 1, 2007 at Rawalpindi while supplying arms, explosive and other material for use in Lal Mosque. He was kept in detention for 3 months and released on bail on August 25, 2007. Immediately after his

release he met Mazhar and Dr Niaz and told them that he is expert in explosive handling and wants to avenge Lal Masjid Operation.

He physically participated in preparation of vehicles used for terrorism on GHQ attack 2007 and Hamza Camp ISI vehicle attack. He was apprehended by police in Quetta in 2008. Abdul Majid,Abdul Basit and Abdul Saboor three brothers are resident of Lahore Ichhra. Originally they belong to Togh Bala, Kohat. They had contacts with people in Lal Masjid and were involved in all activities of Lal Masjid. Beside their involvement in other extremist activities they were involved in GHQ attack and Hamza Camp.

They helped main accused of the suicide attack Mazhar in purchase of Suzuki van and Baleno car from Lahore which was later used in Hamza Camp and GHQ attack where 30 people were burnt alive. They were apprehended from Lahore on November 27 and 29, 2007. Later Abdul Saboor died in Lady Reading Hospital due to ailment. Abdul Majid has been receiving treatment for his ailment. He is suffering from Urinal Tract infection, anxiety, depression, infected scabies. He was admitted to LRH on January 27, 2012.

Muhammad Shafique was a hard core terrorist who was apprehended on January 20, 2008 for his involvement in Kamra Complex missile attack.
Since January 2007 he had been studying in Haqqania Madrassa, Akora Khattak. In September 2007 he went to Miranshah for training. After training he went to Paktia, Afghanistan and stayed there for 50 days. On return he became active member of a terrorist group. He was involved in all stages of Kamra Complex missile attack on January 14, 2008 for which 10 missiles were brought from Mohmand agency.

Another suspect of Kamra Complex Gul Roze Khan aka Farman. He was apprehended on January 21, 2008 at Chhota Lahore, Swabi. He is a resident of villabge Nabi, Chhota Lahore, Swabi. He was student of Madrassa Akora Khattak. In early 2006 he went to wana and received terrorist training in weapon handling and grenade throwing. He used to spent his vacation in SWA. He helped in transportation of missiles from Mohmand agency and was physically involved in Kamra Complex attack.

The Official disclosed that Saeed Arab Hussain was another suspect of Kamra complex. He was arrested on January 21, 2008 at Chhota Lahore Swabi. He completed his studies at Madrassa Akora Khattak. He also underwent terrorist training at Miranshah. All explosive material used in Kamra complex was stored at his place and he is the main harbor and facilitator of Kamra attack. At the time of his arrest 1 vehicle, 1 kk rifle, 1 pistol and 1 hand grenade were also recovered from his possession. He also handed over 16 bags of potassium nitrate to Qasim which were used in making explosive material for attack on Kamra.

Tehseen Ullah another suspect of Kamra missile attack was apprehended on January 15, 2008 from Jehangira Swabi road. He is a resident of Armour colony, Nowshera and a student of 7th grade Jamia Haqqania, Akora Khattak since 2000. He was actively involved in missile attack of Kamra Complex and many other terrorists activities.

It is important to remember that the Supreme court of Pakistan released these hardcore terrorists on technicalities and lack of circumstantial evidence. Despite Pakistan being a victim of countless terror attacks killing and injuring hundreds of thousands of people, Pakistan’s courts have failed to convict and hang (as per the death penalty applicable in terror cases) a single terrorist in Pakistan in the last decade.

Difa-e-Pakistan Council Leaders’ Entry Banned in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad authorities have imposed a seven day ban on some leaders of the Difa-e-Pakistan Council, including Jamaatud Dawa’s (JuD) Hafiz Saeed, Maulana Ahmed Ludhianvi and Abdul Razzaq Dhallu from entering the capital.

Express News reported on Saturday that the ban has been imposed with a view to stop the leaders from attending DPC’s February 20 gathering, hence obstructing the public gathering.

According to sources, the leaders could be arrested if they entered Islamabad.

Meanwhile the traders community of Aabpara Market has also appealed to the DPC from staging a rally in Aabpara market.
Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik had earlier suspended the Station House Officer (SHO) Margalla after the police failed to stop the three leaders from making an apearance at a Milad-un-Nabi gathering.

Earlier the US State Department had issued a brief press release, raising concerns about Jamaatud Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed’s public appearances, including at the Difa-e-Pakistan Council (DPC) rally held in Karachi.

The release further stated that the UN resolution “calls for all countries to freeze assets of sanctioned groups, prevent the transfer of arms to them, and prevent sanctioned individuals from entering or transiting their territories.”

Taliban Equate Planned American Exit to Soviet Defeat

KABUL: The Taliban used the 23rd anniversary of the humiliating Soviet withdrawal from Afghanistan on Wednesday to taunt the United States that it would suffer the same fate as preparations to hand over security to a shaky government are underway.

“Selfish Americans must learn a lesson from … the Russian defeat and no longer fight a meaningless battle with zealous Afghans and take their invading forces out as soon as possible,” the Afghan Taliban said in an e-mailed statement to media.

Forces from the former Soviet Union exited Afghanistan in 1989 after handing over security to a shaky government that was quickly beset by heavy fighting led by mujahideen groups, many of which were aided by Pakistan.

Now the United States and NATO are racing against the clock to train a 350,000-strong force of Afghan police and soldiers who will take over all security responsibilities before end-2014, though scepticism looms that the target can be met in an increasingly violent war.

“Today’s American occupying invaders and their coalition allies are facing the same future the Russian invaders faced in the past,” the Taliban statement added, referring to the NATO-led war now dragging into its eleventh year.

Comparing the two wars is not limited to Taliban hype – fears are surfacing amongst Afghans and analysts that a repeat of the aftermath could take place.

“When the Soviet troops left, it was both a military and economic withdrawal. And once Americans leave, everything else will go with them,” said Mir Ahmad Joenda, who was a member of the Afghan parliament during Communist times and now works at the country’s Civil Society Forum.

“There is a definite possibility of a repeat of 1989 and its aftermath,” Joenda told Reuters.

Afghans – even those of opposing political sides – hold intense pride over the forced withdrawl of the former Soviet Union after a decade of war.

Afghan state TV showed rolling footage of Red Army troops atop armoured vehicles crossing a bridge at the former Soviet northern border on Feb. 15 1989, an image that has become synonymous with the end of a war that still haunts Moscow and cost 15,000 Soviet lives fighting mujahideen insurgents.

After the dispirited Soviet exit, the Afghan communist government collapsed, leading to infighting between warlords and a vicious civil war that reduced much of Kabul to rubble and paved the way for the Taliban’s rise to power in 1996.

“NATO leaving behind an impoverished country”

Washington has pledged military support and aid — though at much reduced levels that the billions of dollars spent now — well after its troops withdraw, much as the Soviets continued to prop up the Communist government of Mohammad Najibullah after their 1989 rush from the country.

But when the Soviet Union collapsed two years later, the aid vanished, Najibullah was ousted in 1992, and in the ensuing war two thirds of Kabul was razed and about 50,000 civilians died.

“Like the Soviets, NATO will be leaving behind an impoverished country crippled by corruption, a government whose writ doesn’t extend to many places outside Kabul, and where insurgent fighters are presumably waiting out foreign forces to assert themselves,” said Gregory Feifer, author of The Great Gamble, which examines the Soviet war in Afghanistan.

But unlike the Soviet exit strategy, Afghan and US officials are seeking peace negotiations with the Taliban as a means to ushering in some form of stability when foreign combat troops leave though the talks lay in a very fragile state.

Alexander Golts, a military analyst in Moscow, said there was “no doubt” the Taliban would regain a share of power following the NATO pullout, and predicted it would occur more quickly for the austere Islamist group the second time round.

“American and NATO forces will leave Afghanistan with limited success, which means we cannot be absolutely sure that in two, three or in five months’ time, the Talibs will not return to power”.

NATO and CIA Covertly Arming Syrian Rebels in Order to Weaken Iran

by: Daan de Wit, DeepJournal | News Analysis

The current news coverage concerning Iran is depicting a series of incidents, but when placed in the context of the events of the past few years – as I have done in my book The Next War – The attack on Iran – A preview as well as in this DeepJournal series – it is clear that all the pieces are being put into place for a war against Iran. It is a long-term project demanding many years worth of preparation, and the ultimate goal is getting closer all the time. One component of this preparation is the covert arming of Syrian rebels.

A weakening of Syria is a weakening of Iran. ‘President Barack Obama’s National Security Advisor Tom Donilon, speaking a day after the United States announced new measures against Iran over its nuclear program, said that “end of the Assad regime would constitute Iran’s greatest setback in the region yet—a strategic blow that will further shift the balance of power in the region against Iran.”‘ Speaking last November on the unstable situation in Syria, Obama’s Secretary of State said: ‘I think there could be a civil war with a very determined and well-armed and eventually well-financed opposition [...] something that we hate to see because we are in favor of a peaceful protest and a nonviolent opposition’. The first part of Hillary Clinton’s remark seemed more an expression of hope than the warning it tried to be, as made clear by the fact that NATO and the U.S. are currently supplying the Syrian rebels with Libyan weapons.

Covert Western weapons shipments to Syrian rebels

Opponents of the regime of Syrian President Assad are being secretly armed by the West. Unmarked airplanes belonging to NATO countries are landing at Turkish military bases close to the Syrian border. These flights deliver weapons originating from the arsenals of the late Muammar Gaddafi. The airplanes also contain volunteer fighters from the Libyan transitional council, ‘experienced in pitting local volunteers against trained soldiers, a skill they acquired confronting Gaddafi’s army’. Also the next step has been taken. ‘French and British special forces trainers are on the ground, assisting the Syrian rebels while the CIA and U.S. Spec Ops are providing communications equipment and intelligence to assist the rebel cause, enabling the fighters to avoid concentrations of Syrian soldiers’, writes the well-informed former CIA officer Phil Giraldi.

The road to Tehran runs through Damascus

The strategy of reaching Tehran through Damascus also seems to have been embraced by Saudi Arabia: ‘The King knows that other than the collapse of the Islamic Republic itself, nothing would weaken Iran more than losing Syria’, said a Saudi source speaking to Foreign Policy magazine in August of last year. Since that time there has been no let-up in developments. The Syrian situation is being eyed with suspicion by the Russians, who don’t see it quite as sentimentally as the Western public does: ‘The West is putting pressure on Syria because the country refuses to break off its alliance with Iran and not for repressing the opposition, said [Nikolai] Patrushev, who served with Prime Minister Vladimir Putin in the Soviet-era KGB. “This time, it won’t be France, the U.K.and Italy that will provide the main strike forces, but perhaps neighboring Turkey, which was until recently on good terms with Syria and is a rival of Iran with immense ambitions,” Patrushev said.’

Syrian power vacuum filled by Islamic interests

Russia is worried about the future: ‘Russia, which has a naval base in Syria and sells weapons to the Middle Eastern country, is more concerned that Islamic radicals may come to power, said Irina Zvyagelskaya, a Middle East analyst at the Academy of Sciences in Moscow. “Our fear is that Syria could collapse and extremist Islamic forces will seize control that no one will be pleased about,” Zvyagelskaya said in a phone interview today. “This could destabilize the entire region.”’ Phil Giraldi would agree with this analysis. He writes: ‘In the United States, many friends of Israel are on the Assad regime-change bandwagon, believing that a weakened Syria, divided by civil war, will present no threat to Tel Aviv. But they should think again, as these developments have a way of turning on their head. The best organized and funded opposition political movement in Syria is the Muslim Brotherhood.’ Hillary Clinton: ‘Look, Assad’s going to be gone; it’s just a question of time.’

Intelligence professionals warn Obama

Phil Giraldi has been warning of the coming war against Iran for years now, which in his opinion could lead to WWIII. ‘As professionals with collectively hundreds of years of experience in intelligence, foreign policy, and counterterrorism, we are concerned about the gross misrepresentation of facts being bruited about to persuade you to start another war.’ This is the first sentence from a letter sent to President Obama from Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity, signers of which include Giraldi. The group of intelligence specialists warns him not to launch a war against Iran. ‘We are seeing a replay of the “Iraq WMD threat.”’ It’s a sound argument, and one that I expand on in my book The Next War. This group of experts concludes the letter with this sentence: ‘We are currently winding down what you labeled a “dumb war;” we should not undertake another dumb war against a country almost three times larger than Iraq, that would set off a major regional war and create generations of jihadis. Such a war, contrary to what some argue, would not make Israel or the U.S. safer.’

Israeli government sharply divided over response to Syria unrest

Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman believes it is time Israel unequivocally condemns the massacres and calls on Assad to resign, while Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyahu prefers to remain ambiguous.

By Barak Ravid

The country’s leaders are clashing over what constitutes a proper Israeli response to the events in Syria – where around 6,000 civilians have been killed – in the revolt against President Bashar Assad.

Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman believes it is time for Israel to unequivocally condemn the massacres and call for Assad to resign, while Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyahu prefers to remain ambiguous.

A senior Foreign Ministry source said that in recent weeks, the ministry issued a recommendation to the effect that Israel has a moral obligation to condemn the mass killings and demand Assad’s ouster.

The diplomats say that if the Arab League, the United States and the European Union are taking such a firm position against Damascus – imposing sanctions and calling for Assad’s resignation – Israel can’t espouse an unclear policy and be the last country in the West to take a stance.

This approach could give rise to conspiracy theories, especially in the Arab world, that Israel prefers to preserve the Assad regime despite the murders, Foreign Ministry staffers say.

Lieberman has embraced this recommendation and has discussed it with the prime minister and other top officials. Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak oppose the recommendation. Netanyahu believes that sharp words from Israel are more likely to spark conspiracy theories and would let Assad argue that Israel is behind the revolt.

Netanyahu’s most significant statement about Assad was made in an interview with Al-Arabiya on July 20. Netanyahu said that anything he would say about the issue “would not be used against me, but against the process of genuine reform that people would want to see in Syria. So we don’t intervene in Syria, but that doesn’t mean we are not concerned.”

In the interview, Netanyahu denied that Israel had any interest in preserving Assad’s regime.

Since then Syria’s disturbances have severely escalated, but Netanyahu refrained from calling for Assad’s resignation even after the testimonies on the massacre in Homs at the beginning of February. During the cabinet meeting nearly two weeks ago, Netanyahu referred to them, but very briefly. His words were vague and Assad was not mentioned.

“In recent days we have been reminded of what kind of neighborhood we live in,” Netanyahu told the ministers. “We’ve seen the Syrian army slaughter its own people, we’ve seen other bloody events in our region. Various leaders have no moral obstacles to killing either their neighbors or their own people.”

“The situation in Syria is sensitive,” said a senior Israeli official who took part in the debates on the issue and who supports Netanyahu’s stance. “We don’t want to look like we’re supporting one of the sides. We came to the conclusion that it’s better to keep quiet. Syria is anyway trying to cause provocations using Hezbollah in the north and other elements, in an effort to drag us into it. We don’t have to be tempted.”

Another Israeli official dealing with the issue said Netanyahu sought to tread cautiously, though he could change his opinion.

The senior official said Israel is expressing a firmer stance in quiet diplomatic channels.

“When the Americans, French or other countries ask us what we think, we tell them we think Assad should go,” the senior official said. “But Israel doesn’t have to be the one to make a public campaign out of it.”

Lieberman already called for Assad’s resignation in July, but since then has moderated his statements, given Netanyahu’s position. He has tried to change the policy, but unsuccessfully.

Lieberman did, however, instruct Israel’s UN Ambassador Ron Prosor to give an especially critical speech during the debate on the Syrian massacre in the General Assembly this week. Prosor urged UN member states not to stand idly by.

“Assad has no moral authority to govern,” Prosor said. “It is time for the international community to stop standing on the sidelines. And it is high time for this organization to start doing something meaningful to stop him from killing his own people.”

Taliban says the U.S. to repeat Soviet defeat in Afghanistan

“Today’s American occupying invaders and their coalition allies are facing the same future the Russian invaders faced in the past,” a Taliban statement read. (Reuters)

The Taliban used the 23rd anniversary of the humiliating Soviet withdrawal from Afghanistan on Wednesday to taunt the United States that it would suffer the same fate as preparations to hand over security to a shaky government are underway.

NATO admits mistakenly bombing Afghan civilians

NATO admits mistakenly bombing Afghan civilians

NATO-led forces in Afghanistan said on Wednesday they killed eight young Afghans in eastern Kapisa province last week in an air strike that enraged the Afghan government, and came soon after a United Nations report showed civilian casualties of the decade-long
war rose again in 2011.

“Eight young Afghans lost their lives as the result of an air strike by coalition forces,” General Lewis Boone, communications director of the International Security Assistance Force (Isaf) coalition, told reporters.

The victims appeared to be carrying weapons and were walking in a menacing manner, prompting Isaf forces in the area to request air support, he said.

“The aircraft dropped two bombs on the group that we believed to be an imminent threat to our people … in the end, eight young Afghans lost their lives in this very sad event.”

Afghanistan’s Western-backed president Hamid Karzai, whose support is undermined by civilian deaths, has repeatedly urged Nato forces to stop killing villagers.

Afghan government officials this week showed gruesome photographs of eight dead boys from what they said was the Kapisa bombing, and said seven of them had been aged between six and 14, while one had been around 18 years old. They were bombed twice while
herding sheep in heavy snow and lighting a fire to keep warm, they said.

The UN said this month the number of civilians killed and wounded in the Afghan war rose for the fifth year in a row, to 3,021 in 2011 from 2,790 in 2010.  Most of those deaths were caused by insurgents, it said, but civilian deaths due to Nato air strikes
also rose 9% to 187.

Isaf said earlier this week that it will hold a conference in March, in conjunction with the Afghan government and the UN mission in the country, to discuss how to stop civilians being killed.

“The Afghan government has spoken enough with the Americans and Nato allies behind closed doors about how to prevent civilian casualties,” Karzai’s chief spokesman Aimal Faizi said. “It’s time to take action to prevent civilian casualties. Holding conferences
is not going to help.”

Hamid Mir: The CIA’s “Asset” in Pakistan (Detailed Report with Links)

A brief and candid observation of Hamid Mir’s most-quoted reports brings to light some astounding details of the renowned anchor and talk-show host at Geo News, Pakistan who achieved worldwide fame for writing the official biography of Osama bin Laden when he met him thrice in Afghanistan.

Let us analyze from Mir’s notable reports:
1. On May 25 2006, Hamid Mir gave an interview to Ryan Mauro titled ‘Al-Qaeda’s Hidden Arsenal and Sponsors‘. Following are a few excerpts:
RM: It has been reported that you believe Al-Qaeda has nuclear weapons. How did you come up with this conclusion?
HM: I came up with this conclusion after eight years of investigation and research in the remote mountain areas of Afghanistan and Pakistan. I traveled to Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Syria, Uzbekistan, and Russia and met dozens of people. I interviewed not only Al-Qaeda operatives but met scientists and top U.S. officials also. I will have the details in my coming book.
RM: How many nuclear weapons does Al-Qaeda possess?
HM: As far as I know, they smuggled three suitcase nukes from Russia to Europe. They smuggled many kilos of enriched uranium inside America for their dirty bomb projects. They said in 1999 that they must have material for more than six dirty bombs in America. They tested at least one dirty bomb in the Kunar province of Afghanistan in 2000.
They have planned an attack bigger than 9/11, even before 9/11 happened. Osama Bin Laden trained 42 fighters to destroy the American economy and military might. 19 were used on 9/11, 23 are still “sleeping” inside America waiting for a wake-up call from Bin Laden.
RM: In a recent interview, you described a nuclear test in Kunar province in the year 2000 where an Egyptian scientist lost an eye. Was it a radiological “dirty bomb” or a more serious tactical nuclear weapon?
HM: It was a radiological dirty bomb.
RM: Why hasn’t Al-Qaeda used nuclear weapons if they possess them?
HM: They are waiting for the proper time. They want the U.S. to be involved in a mass killing of Muslims, so that they will have some justification. That is what I was told by a top Al-Qaeda leader in the Kunar Mountains of Afghanistan.
Astoundingly, almost five years after Mir’s claims, propaganda piece WikiLeaks revealed, as reported in The Telegraph on April 26 2011 (excerpts):

Wikileaks: Al-Qaeda plotted chemical and nuclear attack on the West

One of the terrorist group’s most senior figures warned that al-Qaeda had obtained and hidden a nuclear bomb in Europe that would be detonated if Osama bin Laden was killed or captured.
Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the al-Qaeda mastermind currently facing trial in America over the 9/11 atrocities, was involved in a range of plans including attacks on US nuclear plants and a“nuclear hellstorm” plot in AmericaAnother detainee “discussed the issue of buried uranium in Kandahar”.

According to the US documents, another key al-Qaeda operative discussed a “dirty bomb” with other plotters, which “would combine a regular explosive with uranium or other radiological material”.

The report by Wikileaks echoes exactly what Hamid Mir claimed back in 2006. Interestingly, CIA’s interrogation files were leaked to Wikileaks, as this is what the latter claims, that they get source files sent by anonymous personnel.

The interview also mentions (excerpt):

RM: When is your book coming out?
HM: I am just putting on some finishing touches to the manuscript. I am planning to publish the book this year. I am going to reveal the secret world of Osama Bin Laden through my own eyes. I don’t think it would be difficult for you to understand that writing some facts about Osama Bin Laden is not an easy job in Muslim countries today.

Yes, our governments are against him but he is popular among the masses. Common Muslims do not believe he is responsible for the 9/11 attacks, and I am going to write about how 9/11 was planned and implemented by Osama Bin LadenWhat happened to Osama Bin Laden after 9/11? How did he escape from Tora Bora?

These words have been forgotten by the press today. Hamid Mir was bent on “proving”Osama bin Laden was responsible for the 9/11 attacks whereas top US government insider Dr. Steve Pieczenik already mentioned in 2002 and recently in 2011 thatOsama was killed in 2001 and that 9/11 was an inside jobThis was told to him by an unnamed General from the squad of Paul Wolfowitz. Dr. Steve Pieczenik has said he is willing to testify under oath before a formal hearing about this and he is willing to reveal the name of the General who said this.
Even Gen. (R) Muhammad Khilf of the Egyptian Army detailed that 9/11 was an inside job.

Then how can Hamid Mir “prove” otherwise? Who is he serving? He died at Tora Bora as reported in the Pakistan Observer in 2002 and in an Egyptian newspaper in Arabic that he was buried at Tora Bora. If Hamid was telling the interviewer back then “I am going to write about… How did he escape from Tora Bora?”, he was laying the seeds of disinformation back then which has taken form today as the ultimate hoax that fooled the world: Osama was “killed in Abbottabad”.

This undoubtedly confirms that Hamid Mir is a CIA operative posing as a journalist. It makes sense for a CIA operative to travel to, in Hamid’s own words “Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Syria, Uzbekistan, and Russia and met dozens of people. I interviewed not only Al-Qaeda operatives but met scientists and top U.S. officials alsoWho are these “top US officials”? Is Hamid referring to the CIA HQ at Langley? Bear in mind that Hamid has already been exposed in the past in a talk with Usman Punjabi of the TTP casually talking of suicide bombings, informing him of Pakistan Army’s installations and his enmity for Khalid Khawaja, the ex-ISI retired Squadron Leader who was martyred later after Hamid’s call.

Note from Hamid Mir’s call in 2010:

Hamid Mir: Many bombings are being carried out.

TTP operative: Let’s see. There will be more of them. There are some in the pipeline. What do they (government) say about the operation in Orakzai? Will they stop it or not?

Hamid Mir: No, they say it would not be stopped, rather they say they will also start an operation in North Waziristan and 40,000 troops will leave in a couple of days[Informing terrorists of state plans]

TTP operative: In North Waziristan?

HM: Yes.

Pakistan’s COAS Gen. Ashfaq Kayani already reiterated that there will be no army operation in Pakistan despite US pressure. After Hamid’s information to the TTP operative. the CIA went on gear to carry out a scene at Times Square in New York in which Faisal Shehzad was arrested and not surprisingly, there emerged “links” between him and North Waziristan.

The American desire was and still is to wage a war in North Waziristan against Haqqani / Afghan Taliban networks. Pakistan Army is not willing to do that since both these groups have no presence in Pakistan’s tribal regions. Americans tried to use Mullah Barader to create serious mistrust and hatred between Afghan Taliban and Pakistan Army. That was thwarted when Barader was not handed over to US and Khalid Khawaja unknowingly became a major setback for the Americans when he took a court order against Barader’s extradition. Khalid was trapped and Hamid Mir was used by the CIA to mislead TTP into assassinating KK. But in the end, the US plan of waging a war in North Waziristan fizzled out.

So a backup plan was required to create reasons to initiate a war into North Waziristan. – Here entered Faisal Shehzad – a false flag operation to implicate Pakistani Taliban and then threaten and force Pakistan to “do more” in North Waziristan! Another Pakistani Saif was arrested in Chile in the US embassy with traces of explosives on his luggage and clothes, later to be proven innocent. More Pakistanis are being arrested and a massive media disinformation war is being launched that all global terrorism is emerging from Pakistani tribal pocket of North Waziristan and ISI/Army is either “hands and gloves with Taliban” or not willing to “do more”.

It is the same Hamid Mir who allegedly interviewed Ajmal Qassab’s “father” at Faridkot in an attempt to establish the latter’s identity and nationality as a “Pakistani” whereas it has repeatedly been proven in a detailed dossier that Ajmal Qassab is a pseudonym for the terrorist who was a Hindutva militant in the outfit of Abhinav Bharat and RSS.

How can it be that Hamid Mir knew of Al Qaeda plans even before the CIA? It seems that he himself was in cahoots with them all along since we have now reported in detail that Al Qaeda is an Israeli terrorist cell jointly operated with the CIA and MI6.

Read our report: Israel’s Al Qaeda exposes itself by “confirming” CIA’s hoax at Abbottabad

This shows Hamid Mir was meeting Mossad trained operatives till now in Central Asia, Russia, Africa and the Middle East.

Hamid Mir could well be the Asian version of “Curveball” (Rafid Ahmed Alwan al-Janabi)who confessed that he planted a fake story of Saddam possessing WMDs which the US cited to wage a war in Iraq.

Recently during the ICC World Cup 2011, Hamid Mir said on air, that the Pakistan Army should apologize to Bangladeshis on March 26 for their “atrocities”. The only replies sufficient to Hamid Mir’s yet another bundle of lies are:

Blood & Tears by Qutbuddin Aziz

> ‘The courageous Pak army stand on the eastern front‘ by Indian author Sarmila Bose, Assistant Editor, Ananda Bazar Patrika, India & Visiting Scholar, Elliott School of International Affairs, George Washington University

Presently, it is not surprising that this CIA pseudo-journalist is again echoing what Leon Panetta wantsThe resignation of ISI Chief Pasha.

Theme-Game in Afghanistan

By Sabrina Baloch

Pakistan will defend its sovereignty at all costs as the situation in Afghanistan is getting complex, Pakistan’s military high command considers that terrorism in Pakistan is fueled due to porous Pakistan-Afghan border which is not adequately sealed. Pakistan is also being pressurized to seal off Pak-Afghan border. Project that sealing the border is not only the responsibility of Pakistan. Gen Kayani was satisfied with the military and stabilization operation being carried out in FATA to restore and sustain peace. Pakistan would not tolerate any incursion on its territory.
US insistence for an early operation against Haqqani Network in North Waziristan is uncalled as Pakistan Army has its own priorities and compulsions. It will act against the militants at a time of its own choosing after assessing its national interest but there is no doubt on Pakistan’s commitment and efforts to establish peace in Afghanistan.
Pakistan has no such desire and General Kayani has our rightly rejected such misleading perception reiterating that Pakistan fully supports peace and stability in Afghanistan. The Pakistan Army Chief significantly maintained that US has been informed that Pakistan does not require any military aid.
General Kayani has reassured that Pakistan has no intention of launching an armed action in North Wairistan and there is no question of a compromise on national honor in developing relations with the US.
Us is playing a double in Afghanistan, blaming Pakistan for allegedly providing sanctuaries to Taliban who attack US/ISAF in Afghanistan while supporting the anti-Pakistan – Taliban (TTP) to undertake terrorist activities inside Pakistan.
Recent US focus on Haqqani Network appears to be a part of bigger scapegoat scheme perceived by US military high command and CIA to save their face and insinuate against Pakistan Army and ISI. It is unbelievable to see US asserting that Haqqani Network is the only hurdle against victory in Afghanistan or the only reason for US failure.
US has seriously destabilized Pakistan in the process and it seems that Pakistan would have to face more grave problems once US exits from Afghanistan. US allegations against Pakistan Government, Army, ISI appear to be based on psychological campaign aimed at giving divisive messages, in which embarrassing and well coined information is given forcing the target audience to respond or engage in desired activities.
Indo-Afghan strategic partnership in a US scheme to position India in Afghanistan with strategic advantage not only to bring Indian boots on Afghan soil but also to encircle Pakistan and be able to check China. India would also be engulfed by terrorism, as Indian boots in Afghanistan would provide a good reason for Taliban to plan their operation in Kashmir as a retaliation measure. Indian soil will not remain safe of terrorism as war against terrorism will spread to India and other regional countries. Hence, US must not allow Indian boots inside Afghanistan.
Stability in Afghanistan will remain a far possibility till all the stake holders including Pashtuns and Talibans are brought to one page. At the same time concerns of regional states like Pakistan, Iran and China also need to be addressed through a cool thought out process rather than using sizzling arrogance of Power.
As per Mathew Rosenberg’s report (Wall Street Journal), US held secret meeting with Afghan Taliban (Haqqani Network). The meeting was held month before the Sep 13 attack on US embassy in Kabul This indicates that on one hand US publically scorns Haqqani group for violence in Afghanistan and also accuse ISI for supporting them and on the other hand US is making behind the scene efforts to negotiate with Taliban including Haqqani group,. While Siraj Haqqani, so of Jalaludding Haqqani , in a BBC interview, categorically denied taking orders from ISI. He also said Americans were in touch with him to persuade him to enter into talks with Afghan Government. It needs media coverage.
CIA along with Indian RAW are involved to create conditions in Karachi, Baluchistan and FATA to destabilize Pakistan. US agents have connections with Pakistani Taliban who not only launch attacks inside Pakistani soil but also undertake other terrorist activities to cause damage to Pakistan. Such acts of sabotage and terrorism are openly sponsored by CIA, which indicate double game being played by USA.
Afghan Defense Minister General Abdur Rahimullah Yousafzai Wardik’s statement that the attack on Burhanuddin Rabbani was planned in Quetta and that suicide bomber, Ismatullah, was a Pakistani from the border town of Chaman but what about attacks of armed groups of militants inside Pakistani territory enjoy protection and sponsorship of US / NATO forces?
Strategic Partnership agreement between Afghanistan and India has decisively put India in the center stage of endgame in Afghanistan as it awaits US / NATO to pull out of that country by 2014. Project that US is using this war to make India a regional power, besides pursuing her regional goals to be achieved. Pakistan’s concern that India is storing enough water to limit the supply to Pakistan where water is used as a “common resource”.

Taliban Shot down US drone in eastern Afghanistan

The US military press office in Afghanistan said in a statement on Wednesday that the unmanned aircraft crashed in Jalalabad. Taliban  claim they have shot down several aircraft and NATO choppers in different parts of Afghanistan over the past few months. The US invaded Afghanistan in 2001 under the pretext of combating terrorism and eradicating the Taliban regime, but its failure has forced Washington to turn to negotiations with the militants. The Taliban have steadily stepped up their attacks on US-led forces, inflicting heavy casualties on them.

‘Iran patrol boats, aircraft trailed US aircraft carrier in PG’

This recent US Navy image shows the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) transiting the Arabian Sea.

At least two Iranian patrol boats and one patrol plane monitored the US warships as they crossed into the Sea of Oman.”

Rear Admiral Troy Shoemaker, the commander of the US Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier

Iranian patrol boats and aircraft have closely followed a US aircraft carrier strike group as it exited the Strait of Hormuz, says a US naval commander.

The USS Abraham Lincoln, along with two American warships, passed through the strategic strait under the close aerial and naval surveillance of Iranian forces on Tuesday, nearly three weeks after they entered the Persian Gulf.

At least two Iranian patrol boats and one patrol plane monitored the US warships as they crossed into the Sea of Oman, said Rear Admiral Troy Shoemaker, the commander of the Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier.

Shoemaker described Iran’s surveillance as a routine activity, saying, “We would do the same things off the coast of the United States … It’s more than reasonable. We’re operating in their backyard.”

The Lincoln is expected to provide air support for the US-led forces in Afghanistan, starting the mission Thursday.

The Strait of Hormuz has become the focal point of a recent escalation of tensions between Washington and Tehran. It is a narrow shipping channel (less than 50 kilometers wide in its narrowest part) that connects the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

Statistic wise, the strait is one of the world’s most important waterways, with a daily flow of about 15 million barrels of oil which accounts for 90 percent of the Persian Gulf exports and 40 percent of the global oil consumption.

Russia Requests NATO’s Explanation for Civilian Overkill in Libya

Russia is demanding NATO to account for dozens of Libyan civilians that were killed in the air strike campaign which led to the downfall of Libyan leader Col. Muammar Gaddafi.

The military campaign led by Britain, France, the United States has seriously divided the UN Security Council with NATO’s opponents blaming the strikes for the failure to condemn Syria’s crackdown on protesters, reported The Telegraph.

New York Times published a reported counting for at least 40 civilian and more than 70 killed by NATO airstrikes, including 29 women or children. Many of them had been asleep in homes when they were killed, reported the Times.

Russia’s UN envoy Vitaly Churkin said he would speak to the UN Security Council about the estimates given by The New York Times.

“Unfortunately NATO adopted a pure propaganda stand claiming zero civilian casualties in Libya which was completely implausible first of all and secondly not true,” Churkin told reporters.

A true Ashiq-e-Rasool
Sir Zaid Hamid’s address on Adab and Ishq-e-Rasool [PBUH] Part 2:
“My brothers, you don’t have to be a Wali of Allah to receive the karam [benediction] from Aaqa [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ]. Our Aaqa’s [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] blessings are especially for the sinners.
Khan of Qallaat was a secular and nonreligious man. At the time of creation of Pakistan, there was rebellion in Qallaat and he was thinking of separating Baluchistan from the state of Pakistan. At that time also it was a turbulent  time like it is today in Pakistan. A few days ago, the grandson of Khan of Qallaat came on T.V. and when he was asked that at present he wanted separation from Pakistan, so why he did not separate from Pakistan at the time of its creation. He answered that they did want to separate at that time and his grand father also consulted other people who advised him to separate from Pakistan, but that night his grand father had ziyarat-e-nabi [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ], who ordered him not to betray Pakistan and join it. The interviewer asked him that was he saying that the province of Baluchistan was a part of Pakistan because of the order of the Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ]. To which, the grandson of Khan of Qallaat replied that this was told to him by his elders.
So you see that even the provinces of this Pakistan are together because of the command of the Rasool [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ]. Therefore, in today’s world, there could be no greater disrespect to the Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] than destroying and annihilating Pakistan, this Pakistan which was created due to Faizan-e-nabvi [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم], which is in the shadow of Allah Almighty and which is going to be the epicentre of the Muslim Ummah in the coming days, inshAllah!
Respected Ishfaq Ahmad used to say that Allah has kept this Pakistan like he kept the she-camel of Saleh [AS]; like her, Pakistan is also a miracle, and the fact that it is still standing is a miracle too. Pakistan is one of the signs of Allah Almighty. None of your deeds would be worth any thing if you betray this Pakistan. All of the good actions of that person will go to waste who is dishonest with this property of Rasoolullah [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ], and that is Pakistan. In the coming days, the burden of the entire Ummah would be upon this Pakistan. The world as a whole is a victim of disintegration. Allah has made this Pakistan for the protection and honour of Muslim Ummah, which is why, He made us an Atomic power. This country was created through miracles and groups of Auliya [friends of Allah] who came together for its making. At that time when the ‘Congressi Mullahs’ were giving fatwas against Quaid-e-Azam and Pakistan, all the Auliya and Faqirs of Allah were gathering to support Pakistan. In the leadership of Pir Syed Jamat Ali Shah, many Auliya came together like Pir of Manki Shareef, Pir of Zakori Shareef and others who backed Quaid-e-Azam in the making of Pakistan.
When people used to ask Pir Jamat Ali Shah, why he was supporting someone who had obviously British style and looks, he would answer that it did not matter how he looked; the important thing was that he was doing the work of Allah and Rasoolullah [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم]. He wrote to Quaid-e-Azam and said that, “I am one of your soldiers, tell me what to do?” The mureeds [followers] of Pir Sahab asked him why he was saying this to a typically English man. He replied that they were unaware of this secret, which was that the Quaid was working for Rasoolullah [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ].
My friends and elders, please understand one thing; in the coming days this nation and Ummah will be tested. We would have to sacrifice a lot; in order for the Muslims to rise again and build a state on the model of Rashidun Caliphate and to restore the lost grandeur of Muslim Ummah, the Muslims will be required to sacrifice. You would have to sacrifice your children, your families your resources, your finances and yourselves. Allama Iqbal says in one of his poems,
“When I say that I am a Muslim, I tremble with fear
Because I know what is the penalty of saying La ilaha ilallah”.
At the time of the Pledge of Al-Uqabah, Abbas [RA] stopped the Muslims of Madina and asked them whether they realized the importance of the bayt [pledge] with Mohammad Rasoolullah [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ]. This bayt meant that they would have to take on the whole world. They would have to forfeit not only their families but also their businesses, trades and crops. They should understand it clearly that the world would turn on them. Yet, those people were also blessed with sagacity and insight. They demanded what they would get in turn of this pledge. They were told they would get the Jannah. But those people were not simply zahids [worshipful of Allah]; they were Aashiqs of Rasoolullah [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم]. So they asked,
“Ya Syedi, promise us one thing, you will never leave us.”
Jannah was not their desire; they wanted Aaqa [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ], who replied that he would never leave them and to this day he is with the people of Madina. The Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] said that the people of Madina are my neighbours so take care of them. That is why, there have been Sultans who did not take any tax from the residents of Madina and used to forgive them for their mistakes. They were gentle with them. This is the spirit of love. When the sahaba [RA] used to meet the Holy Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ], they would address him by saying, “may my mother and father be sacrificed for you, Ya Rasoolullah!”
My friends, how can we be of any service to our Aaqa [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] ? If you confess your love for someone, you send them presents. Once a Faqir was asked how much Zakah did he pay. He asked in return, which Zakah? The Zakah of Fiqh, the Zakah of love or the Zakah of Ishq? The other person was surprised and asked what did he mean. The Faqir replied that the Zakah of Fiqh is that if you have saved 100 rupees, you give two and half rupees in charity. And the charity of Love is that you keep two and half for yourself and distribute the  ninety seven and half. And the Zakah of Ishq is that you distribute everything and keep nothing for yourself.
The lovers also treat the matters of Aamaal [good deeds] in the same way they deal in the matters of money. Those who love Rasoolullah [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] send him the gifts of Darood Shareef. But do you know what the Ushaaq [true lovers] of Nabi [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] do? They say to Allah,
“O my Lord, you deal with all the sins of my life, I depend upon you and I am sure you will deal with me according to my perception of you. And my perception is this, that your forgiveness is vaster than my sins. O my Lord, I do not do good deeds for the reward of Paradise, nor do I refrain from bad actions due to the fear of Hell. I do what I do in order to get near to the Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] and for you. With your benediction and mercy, I am sure you will forgive my sins. But I am also sure that my good deeds are not enough to bring me closer to Rasoolullah [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] and give me the status of prophets, martyrs and siddiqqeen. That is why, whatever good deeds I have, I present them as a gift to the Holy Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ]. Now, I neither have sins nor good deeds. All I want is to stay under the benevolence and Ishq and Karam of Rasoolullah [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ], and I am happy with what my Aaqa [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] gives me. I am not proud of what I earned nor am I dependent on it. But I present all my prayers, Hajj, charity and Darood Shareef to the Holy Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ]. I did all these things, O Allah for you and if you accept them, then give them to Rasoolullah [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ].”
I know young men who are not more than twenty years of age, who study in universities, but do not go to sleep before presenting their good deeds of every day to Aaqa Kareem [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم]. Ishq-e-Rasool [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] is not any single person’s heritage. Whoever is bestowed with Ishq-e-Rasool [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] is very easy to spot. There are signs all over the person of a true Aashiq of Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] that are like a fragrant smell. It is not possible that a person is an Ashiq-e-Rasool [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] and heartless at the same time. It is impossible that a person loves Rasoolullah [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] and at the same time has a repulsive visage. It is not possible that you are an Ashiq of Rasoolullah [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] and his Faiz is not visible in your very existence.
When Aaqa [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] blesses someone with his faiz and karam, that in itself becomes a means of attaining Ishq-e-Rasool [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ]. Never has the universe witnessed a Dervaish, a Wali and a Faqir of Allah as Allama Iqbal who exquisitely expressed Ishq-e-Rasool [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] in his poetry. That is why I tell you again and again to read Iqbal. I request you not to waste the Faiz of such a colossal Ashiq-e-Rasool [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] as Iqbal. No Aalim [Islamic scholar] in history has ever made such a bigger claim as Iqbal. He directly addressed the Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] and said,
“Ya Syedi, Ya Murshadi, Ya Rasoolullah [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ], if I ever did not present your Ishq in my work and have not spread Ishq-e- Rasool through it and if I have not been faithful to your Ummah, then on the Day of Judgement, punish me by depriving me of your sacred ziyarat and depriving me of kissing your feet”.
No one in the universe can make such a big claim, unless they have a very strong spiritual bond with the Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ], unless they have a firm faith that Aaqa [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] will not remove them from his benediction. And to top it, he then stays in the state of constant fear, fear of rejection due to his sins. This is divinely portrayed in this couplet of Iqbal, which when first recited to the people of Hindustan, made them cry uncontrollably and many fainted with intensity of emotions:
“My Lord you are the Magnificence of the two Worlds
I beseech you to listen to my one request on the Day of the Judgement
If you see that it has become necessary to judge me for my deeds
Judge me please, where Aaqa Kareem [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] cannot see me”
What he meant was that the thought of bringing unhappiness to the Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] because of his acts was an unbearable thought for him. When people blamed Iqbal by saying what kind of Aashiq he was who would not go to Madina, he would burst into tears. People did not realise that this was a sensitive point for Iqbal. Similarly there is the tale of Mavlana Jami of Persia, who was a great Aashiq-e-Rasool [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ]. He reached the city of Makkah and made the intention of going to Madina, but the Governor of Makkah came with his army, reverently kissed his hands and very respectfully begged him not to go to Madina. Mavlana Jami started to cry and asked him the reason.  The Governor said that he was blessed with the ziyarat of Rasoolullah [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] the previous night, and he showed Jami to the Governor of Makkah. He said that one of his great Aashiqs was coming and the Governor should stop him from coming to Madina, as this man was such a great Aashiq that if he came to Madina, then the Prophet[ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] would have to defy all the laws of Shariat and answer the greeting of Mavlana Jami. Therefore that Aashiq should not be let in Madina. But the Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] also gave glad tidings for Jami by promising that from then onwards he would daily meet Jami in his dream. After this Jami was satisfied and went back to Persia where to his dying day he daily had the ziyarat of Rasoolullah [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم]. It doesn’t matter what the people say about Jami because there are some Aashiqs, who if go to Madina, then they never return or the natural laws have to be broken for them. Allama Iqbal was also one such Aashiq. My Aaqa [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] had appointed Iqbal in this Pakistan, a place which had to become Madina-e-Sani.
My friends, this is not a small thing. If you translate the word ‘Pak-istan’ in Arabic, it means “Madina Tayyiba”. Tayyib means ‘Pak’ and ‘istan’ means ‘madina’. Therefore don’t consider this Pakistan simply a piece of land. This is something upon which all our elders have agreed.  For instance, Mumtaz Mufti writes in his book “Labbaik”,
“During the war of 1965 between Pakistan and India, the attendants of Masjid-e-Nabvi saw the Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] in their dreams hurrying with his sword and shield in hand and wearing the battle armour. With him, there were the sahaba [RA] who had participated in the Battle of Badr and Rasoolullah [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] was ordering them to get ready as they were going to Pakistan to fight a war.”
Many such stories can be found in books and newspapers that the Indian fighter pilots witnessed green turbaned men on horses, with swords of light defending Pakistan. So do not consider this Pakistan insignificant.
Allah says in the Quran that do not raise your voice above the voice of the Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم]. Raising one’s voice does not mean that one should not give Azan there. In the beginning, people took its literal meaning. A sahabi who had naturally high voice said that he would be ruined. Then Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] comforted him and told him that this verse was referring to disrespect and impertinence to the Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم]. Even the Mauzin [one who gives the call for prayer] has a loud voice. Yet, this etiquette was acquired in Masjid-e-Nabvi that to this day no one raises his voice there. Apparent reverence was carried out and its wisdom too was understood.
The meaning of not raising one’s voice in front of the Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] is that one should not go ahead of him in any regard. One should accept what the Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] orders and should refrain from what he stops. If the Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] gives benediction to someone and calls him his soldier, such a person should be respected. If he calls someone to his court, then people should stop criticizing that person. Those people are doomed who called the Prophet’s soldier, ‘Kafir-e-Azam’, and so are those who called this ‘Madina-e-Sani’ of the Prophet, ‘Kafiristan’. Also those people are doomed who did not vote for Pakistan as they considered Quaid-e-Azam a Shia. These wretched people went to the Quaid and said that they will not vote for him as they thought that he was a Shia. Then Quaid-e-Azam said, “All right, then vote for Gandhi. May be he is Sunni.” Then these accursed people voted for Gandhi.
In today’s world, this Pakistan is a gift for us from Aaqa [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ]. Do not be disloyal to it. This gift is like the she-camel of Saleh [AS]. It is the Madina-e-Sani of today. This is not only the property of Ummah but also a dominion of Allah Almighty and is under His great shadow. Do not refrain from sacrificing whatever you can for this Pakistan. Do not ask what your Aaqa [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] has given you. The question is what you have given away for him.
صدیق کے لیے الله اور اس کا رسول بس
The extent of your efforts does not matter. At the time of Battle of Tabuk, when everyone was contributing for the war, Umar [RA] thought that his contribution would be more than any one else and brought half of his belongings. But when he reached there, he saw that Abu Bakr [RA] had brought everything that he had. When he was asked what he had left for himself back at home, Abu Bakr Siddiq [RA] replied, “Allah and his Rasool [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ]“.
There was another sahabi who started to cry as he had nothing to help the Muslims. He went to a Jew, worked  the whole day in his fields and at the end of the day, got only a handful of dates. He brought it to the Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] and said that, that was all he had got. Aaqa [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] took those dates and spread them on all the contributions by Muslims. Then he said, “Now these dates are more precious then all of the other things put together”.
So you should not look at how big or small your contribution for this Deen of Rasoolullah [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] is. Just keep your intentions pure. Our Aaqa [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] is merciful and benevolent and accepts the endeavours of the destitute. There is only one condition in order to have the reign over both the worlds: be faithful to Mohammad [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم].
کی محمّد سے وفا تو نے تو ہم تیرے ہیں
یہ جہاں چیز ہے کیا لوح و قلم تیرے ہیں
According to Iqbal, a true Momin and Aashiq-e-Rasool [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] is not restricted by fate. Allah does for an Aashiq-e-Rasool [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] whatever the Aashiq wants.
کوئی اندازہ کر سکتا ہے اس کے زور بازو کا
نگاہ مرد مومن سے بدل جاتی ہیں تقدیریں
At another place Iqbal says,
تقدیر کے پابند جمتات و نباتات
مومن فقط احکام الہی کا ہے پابند
This man is a free spirit whose Takbeer can be heard in the breadth of the entire universe.
This is the difference between an ordinary Muslim and a Momin. An ordinary Muslim just fulfills the duty of giving Azaan but a true Momin gives Azaan with the spirit of Bilal [RA].
My brothers, Allah has blessed us in allowing us to gather here on this auspicious occasion. You should all promise yourselves that not a single day of your life will pass without you consciously presenting your good deeds to the Aaqa [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ]. We only think of Mohammad [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] as our Prophet, but do not consider him our Murshid [spiritual leader]. Through Murshid we get ‘Faiz’ [spiritual enlightenment]. If you love someone, you take Faiz from them and send them gifts too. You can present all your good deeds and Darood Shareef to the Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] according to your capacity. Whoever gifts to Rasoolullah [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم], always gets something in return. My Aaqa never sends any one away empty-handed. May Allah always be with you. Remember that our biggest heritage is the love and Ishq of Aaqa Kareem [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ]. Our good actions alone can not help us unless we have Iman, Ishq and Adab-e-Rasool, therefore never compromise on them. If there is any shortage of good deeds, Allah Almighty can forgive that with his magnanimity and benevolence.
Imam Nauvi describes a story of a Bedouin in ‘Kitab -ul-Azkaar’ who came in the holy presence of Aaqa [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] after he had apparently and physically passed away from this world. He sat there and said,
“Allah says in the Quran that if you have committed a sin, you should go to Rasoolullah [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] because when he will ask for forgiveness for you, you will find that Allah is all Merciful and Forgiving. That is why, Syedi, I have come to your court as I have sinned. There is no other place to go. Please ask for forgiveness for me.”
Then that Bedouin read a couplet which meant that there is no other existence more beautiful in the world then the existence of the person who resides there. Even to this day, this couplet is written on the net in front of the of the Prophet’s [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] grave. When that Bedouin went away, a wali who was sitting there watching this whole incident, immediately had the ziyarat of Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] in his dream, who gave the glad tidings for the Bedouin and told the wali to tell the Bedouin that his attendance at the Prophet’s court was accepted and Allah had forgiven him.
A person should definitely feel ashamed at his sins but should always hope that as the Ummati of Rasoolullah [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] he will be blessed if he presented himself in the Prophet’s [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] court with the desired respect and etiquette. A Muslim should always expect that Aaqa [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] will intercede on his behalf in Allah Almighty’s court and will exonerate him if he is a true Aashiq. One should always be prepared to sacrifice himself for Syedi Rasoolullah [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ]. Everything is dependent on intentions; some do good deeds for Jannah, some do it to show the world, some do it because they are afraid of the Hell, but there are some who do good deeds for the sake of Syedi’s [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] love. Actions are the same; it is the intention that makes a world of difference.
May Allah always be your protector and bless you with Ishq-e-Rasool [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ]. May Allah increase it and protect it, as it is our real heritage. It is a heritage that should be dearer to you than life itself. When it comes to Syedi Rasoolullah [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم], there should be no compromise. There is the luminous example of Ghazi Ilm Deen Shaheed for us. When the accursed Raj Pal disrespected the Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ], the whole Muslim Ummah was stirred, including people like Allama Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam. Then Ghazi Ilm Deen Shaheed sent that blasphemer to hell, to which Iqbal famously said that we were all men of words but this son of Blacksmiths had beaten us all through his great feat. This was the only case of Quaid-e-Azam that he fought for free. Many people went to Ghazi Ilm Deen Shaheed and begged him to say that this murder took place by mistake so that his life would be spared. But he would not budge. Then they went to Allama Iqbal who wrote a poem praising this Ghazi, in which he said that people like Ghazi Ilm Deen Shaheed want martyrdom so let them have it. But others forced Iqbal to visit him so he went to the jail where Ghazi was kept. As soon as Ghazi saw Iqbal, he said, “Iqbal, you too?” Iqbal understood what he meant. He burst into tears and returned without further uttering a word. Then he wrote his famous poem which begins:
اں شہیدوں کی دیت اہل کلیسا سے نہ مانگ
قدر و قیمت میں ہے خون جن کا حرم سے بڑھ کر
May Allah be with you and may Allah always shade this Pakistan. May you always benefit from the company of Auliya and may your Ishq-e-Rasool [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] always remain. Ameen
In the words of Sultan Bahu,
ایمان سلامت ہر کوئی منگے
عشق سلامت کوئی نا
May Allah keep your Ishq strong. JazakAllah Khairan Kaseera.
Assalam-o-Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Wabaraktuhu.

Translation Ishq-e-Rasool [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] Zaid Hamid’s address at Jamia Zia-ul-Uloom – Vol 1

Syed Zaid Hamid  at Jamia Rizvia Zia-ul-Uloom

The Holy Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] stated:
“He who does not recite Durood Shareef for me has no faith”.
“He who does not recite Durood Shareef for me has no ablution”.

Address on Ishq-e-Rasool and Adab-e-Rasool
I wanted to write something about Ishq and Adab-e-Rasool [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] as Eid Milad-un-Nabi was approaching, but I think words are never enough to encompass the magnitude and magnificence of this topic. And then fortunately, I listened to Sir Zaid Hamid’s address to the students of Jamia Zia-ul-Uloom, Rawal Pindi which was on the fragrant topic of Ishq and Adab-e-Rasool [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ]. I pounced on this opportunity as I don’t consider myself worthy and capable of praising the Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] adequately.
For those of my brothers and sisters who did not see the video, I have translated Sir Zaid’s address in this blog. If only I could also portray the verve of his voice!
Sir Zaid Hamid’s address on Adab and Ishq-e-Rasool [ PBUH]:
“Bala ghallu labe kamalihi, kasha faddo jabe jamalihi
Hasunat jamiyo khisallihi, sallu alaihe wa aalihi
Translation:
He attained exaltation by his perfection,
He dispelled darkness by his beauty;
Beauteous are all his qualities,
Benediction be on him and his family.
“Innallaha wa malaikatahu yusalluna a’lannabi, ya ayyuhal-lazeena aamanoo sallu alaihi wa sallimu taslima.” (Al-Ahzaab – 56)
Translation – Verily Allah and his angels recite salaat on the Nabi [Prophet Muhammad]. O you who believe, call for [Allah’s] blessings on him, and greet him by saying ‘peace be upon you’.
Allahuma salli ala Muhammadin wa ala Alayhi wa as haabihi wasalam
With the permission of respected Syed Sahab, dear scholars and brothers Assalmo alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuhu.
When my Aaqa [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] especially rewards someone in his ummah, when he wants closeness with an ummati [follower], when he decides that an ummati should be with prophets, siddiqeens [truthful people] and martyrs, and when he wants to gift someone, then he gives that ummati the Ishq for Prophet Mohammad [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم].
My friends, remember one thing, you cannot earn Ishq-e-Rasool [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ]. It is an honour bestowed by the court of the Holy Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ]. It is rewarded to him who is endlessly obedient and humble in front of the Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم].
ادب پہلا قرینہ ہے محبت کے قرینوں میں
The disrespectful receive nothing. And remember one thing, there is no criticism or following or Fatwa [ruling given by an Islamic scholar] regarding the actions of an Aashiq-e-Rasool [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ], nor there is any end to the acts of a man who is immersed in Ishq-e-Rasool [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم].”
[In order to make the audience understand the importance of this point, Sir Zaid repeated it.]
“It is not mentioned in any book of Fiqh that how an Aashiq [lover] of Rasoolullah should express his love for the Rasool [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ]. At the battle of Uhad, the Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] lost two teeth. Owais Qarni [ RA] broke all his teeth upon hearing this. This is not a matter for Fiqh; this is Ishq-e-Rasool [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم]. There is no fatwa on it, nor there is any following. Abu Bakr [RA], Umar [RA], Ali [AS] did not break their teeth though they were also great lovers of Rasool [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم]. Their style of loving the Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ], and their duties and positions were different.  Owais Qarni’s [RA] style was different. That is why there is no following of any particular style. Every Aashiq has his own place. He expresses his love according to whatever Aqaa [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] bestows on him. One sahabi [companion] of Rasoolullah [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] saw him only once in his life. At that time, the Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] was wearing a black shawl as it was winter. Afterward, that sahabi never saw the Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] again but all his life he wore a black shawl as he had seen him like that. Another sahabi, who met Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] during summer, saw that his shirt was unbuttoned from the front. During his whole life, whichever season it was, he used to wear an unbuttoned shirt because he said that it was the way he had seen his Aaqa [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم], so that was the way he would remain.
Acts of Ishq-e-Rasool [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] have no criticism, no following and no fatwa. Only an ignorant person can question the veracity of these rules . These are the matters of heart.
Once at a time of war, our Aaqa [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] announced that every Muslim should bring whatever he can. A sahabia cried that she did not have any thing to offer but she did not want to stay behind. She went to our Aaqa [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] and presented her infant to the Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم]. Syedi Rasoolullah [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] asked her what he would do with the baby. She replied that when he was attacked from all sides, he could use her baby as a shield to protect himself from the arrows. This is true Ishq-e-Rasool![صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] These are the acts of loving the Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] which are infinite in their nature, and which permit no criticism.
Imam Malik, the founder of Maliki Fiqh, never wore shoes and never rode any animal in Madina Munawarah because he said that his master [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] used to walk in those streets. At the time of Pledge of Hudaybiya, the representatives of the non-believers of Quraysh, went back and advised their people not to fight a war with the Muslims. They said they had been to the courts of Qaiser [Caesar] and Kisra too, but they had never seen such reverence and respect as they saw in the sahaba [RA] of the Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ]. They told the Mushrikeen of Quraish,
“When their Prophet performs ablution, they do not let the water fall down on the ground, instead they spread it on their bodies. They make perfume from the drops of his perspiration. They do not let even his spit touch the ground but would smear it on themselves”.
These things are intrinsically not forbidden, yet there was a sahabi who even did a forbidden thing but Jannah [paradise] was made wajib [compulsory] for him because of his intention. Once the Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] bled a little because of an illness. He gave the container of the blood to the sahabi to throw it away. But the sahabi drank it. When the Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] came to know about it, he said,
“A body that has my blood running in it, will not burn in hell”.
Even though it is forbidden in Islam to drink blood in Islam, the Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] gave the sahabi glad tidings of Jannah because of the sahabi’s Ishq-e- Rasool [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ].
My dear friends, whatever a Momin [true believer] receives is due to the respect and courtesy he shows to the Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم]. All the Salah, Hajj, Zakah and other good deeds will be wasted if one so much as raises his voice in the presence of the holy master [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ]. There is no room for disrespect and irreverence in this regard. There are two sins which Allah will never forgive. One is shirk [associating partners with Allah], and the the other is disrespect towards the Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ]. If one angers Allah because of his misdeeds, our master [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] can come to our aid. But if one has been disrespectful to the Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم], then there is no one in the whole universe who can come to his aid. Even to this day, the devoted ushaaq [lovers] of the Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] strongly follow the Quranic orders concerning the Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم]. They carry themselves exactly the way the sahaba [RA] did in the company of the Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] fourteen hundred years ago. There are still some men of Allah, who ask for permission before entering the court of the Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] (i.e. Masjid-e-Nabvi) as it was ordered in the Quran. Even today these men give sadaqah[charity] before consulting about a matter from the court of our Master [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ], as it was ordered by Allah. They also take permission from the Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] before leaving Masjid-e-Nabvi. Similarly, they take care of the poor people in the vicinity of Masjid-e-Nabvi as the master [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] had said that the people of Madina were his neighbours and one should take care of them. Even today the Ushaaq of Rasool [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] don’t turn their backs to the Masjid-e- nabvi and they don’t speak in a loud voice. A thing which is worth remembering is that the Ishq-e-Rasool is the result of respecting and following the Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ].
Everyone knows the story of Imam Busiri who wrote Qaseeda Burda. He presented this qaseeda to the Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] and saw him in his dream. The Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] not only gave him his burda [shawl] but also cured him of his paralysis. When he woke up and went out in the street, a qalander stopped him and asked him to give him the qaseeda that he wrote the previous night and also told him that it had been accepted at the court of the Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم]. In today’s world we see that this qaseeda has become the most popular qaseeda ever.
مولا صل وسلم دایما ابدا
Each Ashiq of Rasool has been assigned a different duty by the Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم]. For this, it is not necessary to be a great abid [one who worships Allah a lot] or a zahid [ a very pious man]. The blessings and mercy of the Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] are there, even for the sinful and worldly people. The only condition is that of Adab-e-Rasool [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ].
Sultan Noor-ud-din Zangi was a Muslim general who was leading the Muslim army during the crusades. At that time two non-Muslim crusaders, dug a tunnel towards the Roza-e-Pak of Rasoolullah [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] with evil intentions (nauzbillah). Amongst the whole ummah, the Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] chose Sultan Noor-ud-din Zangi to send the two crusaders to hell. He came in the dream of the Sultan and showed him the faces of those two hell-bound men and ordered the Sultan to rid him of them. The Sultan traveled from Damascus to Madina Shareef, found the two infidels and sent them to hell, then burst into tears because he was overwhelmed with joy that the Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] had called him for this great service.
Everyone knows that when Tariq bin Ziyad was sent to capture Spain, he burnt all the ships behind him leaving no possibility of return. We know about this historical fact, but are unaware of the spiritual aspect to it. There were only 12,000 Muslim Mujahids with him who faced an army of 150,000. It was an unknown territory for the Muslims as they had never been there before. Behind them, there was the vast sea. The Muslim forces considered going back and coming again with a bigger army. When Tariq bin Ziyad saw this situation, he ordered his soldiers to burn all the ships. A fierce battle was fought which resulted in the victory for the Muslims. Afterward, the Muslims asked their commander why he had decided to burn the ships and what was so special about the order that the soldiers had not fathomed. Tariq bin Ziyad told them that when they were coming to Spain, he was blessed with the ziyarat [seeing Rasoolullah, especially in a dream] of the Holy Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم], who was wearing his armour. The Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] told him to reach Spain as he himself was also going there.
Sultan Mohammad Fateh was one of the the sultans of Ottoman Caliphate. The Holy Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] had said, “Constantinople would be conquered by the Muslims, and the Muslim troop who conquers it would go to Paradise, along with its leader”. For 900 years, starting from the time of the Caliphate of Uthman [RA], the Muslims kept on trying to conquer Constantinople. But this honour was written in Sultan Mohammad Fateh’s fate in 1453 A.D. In order to stop the warships of the Sultan’s army from reaching Constantinople, the enemy had put heavy chains across the sea. The Sultan ordered his people to drag the ships on dry land, a feat which has never been accomplished any where else in human history. Finally the Sultan’s army conquered Constantinople. . He informed his people that how, in a dream, he saw the Prophet’s [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] sahabi, Abu Ayub Ansari [RA], who foretold about the victory, saying to the Sultan, “Constantinople belongs to you : go and take it”. The shrine of this great sahabi [RA], who was host to Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] in Madina Munawara, can still be seen in Constantinople. The sahabi himself showed the place where he was buried to the Sultan, so the Sultan was able to mark that place and made a shrine for him there.
So we see that in every era, the lovers of the Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] had been blessed with special faiz [benediction] and karam [blessing] of the Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] himself. An example from recent history is the book titled “Zinda Rood” [ever-flowing spring of water] written by Allama Iqbal’s son, Justice Javed Iqbal. In this book, he tells of an incident that was told to him by his father. Once a Syed man came from Kashmir to visit Allama Iqbal and burst into tears as soon as he saw Allama Iqbal. When Iqbal inquired what was the matter with him, he said,
“I am not crying because I am needy or poor, but at the truthfulness of my dream. In my dream, I saw a huge congregation of Muslim Auliya that was led by the Prophet Mohammad [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] himself. Yet, the Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] was not starting the prayer as it seemed that he was waiting for someone. He was turning his head again and again asking, “Has Iqbal come?” After some time, a man came and the Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] made some space for him on his right side. When I woke up I asked some people about my dream and they said that they had heard of a man called Iqbal who lived in Lahore so I came here and when I saw you, I could not control myself from crying at the authenticity of my dream.”
The ‘Congressi Mullahs’ called Quaid-e-Azam, ‘Kafir-e-Azam’. These Mullahs have been with the Congress from the start, are with it today and hopefully will be resurrected with Congress as well in the End. When Quaid-e-Azam was asked that he had left the Sub-continent in 1931, what was the reason that made him come back, he replied,
“Allama Iqbal worked a lot on me, and aroused spirituality in me. Some other good and sincere friends also suggested to me that it would be better if I go back and work for the Muslims. But the real reason was something else. When I was in a state of uncertainty in England, I had the good fortune of having the ziyarat of our Holy Prophet [ صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم] at night. And I can swear that I was awake at that time. I did not see the Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] in a dream but while I was awake. The Holy Prophet [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] addressed me and said, “Go to Hindustan, I have work for you there.” That is why I returned to Hindustan as it was the order of my Aaqa [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ].”
At the time of his death in Ziyarat, Quaid-e-Azam told his doctor, “I am leaving this world in a very peaceful state of mind. I am absolutely sure that this Pakistan could never have been made if it was not for the Faizan [blessing] of the Rasoolullah [صلی اللہ علیھ والہ وسلم ] and now it is the duty of the coming generations to apply the system of Caliphate in Pakistan so that Allah fulfills the promises which Allah has made to the Muslims.”

Pakistani politicians don’t want Americans to go away: Munter

WASHINGTON: US Ambassador Cameron Munter has said that Pakistani politicians don’t want Americans to go away from their country.

During his lecture at Harvard Kennedy School, Munter said that the relationship between CIA and ISI were still intact.

“The CIA-ISI relationship is still cooperative,” Munter said. “The Pakistani government realizes that we have a lot in common on counter-terrorism and we still have a decent relationship with the intelligence.”

But this may change when DG ISI Lt. Gen. Ahmad Shuja Pasha, announces his retirement, Munter added.

US ambassador said when military aid was limited because of the incident he told Kayani when trainers would leave Pakistan, equipment would also go with them.

Deep down, he said, Pakistani politicians do not want Americans to go away.

US actor, director Sean Stone converts to Islam in Iran

The conversion to Islam is not abandoning Christianity or Judaism, which I was born with.

Sean Stone

American actor and documentary filmmaker Sean Stone, son of Oscar-winning director Oliver Stone, converted to Islam during a religious ceremony in Iran.

Stone became a Shia Muslim and chose to be known by the Muslim first name Ali as announced at the ceremony held in the Iranian historical city of Isfahan on February 14.

“The conversion to Islam is not abandoning Christianity or Judaism, which I was born with,” Stone said.

“It means I have accepted Mohammad (PBUH) and other prophets,” he added in a brief telephone call.

Born to a Jewish father and Christian mother, Stone did not say why he converted to Islam.

Stone who visited Iran several months ago said he needed to know more about Persian culture and civilization and become familiar with Iranian traditions and rituals.

Stone referred to Iran as one of Asia’s major filmmaking centers saying that he “would like to introduce Persian culture and civilization to the West.”

The 27-year-old filmmaker is a graduate of history from Princeton University and has collaborated on many of his father’s projects such as the 2004 Alexander. He has also directed a handful of documentaries.

Sean is not the first renowned celebrity who has converted to Islam. The English singer and songwriter Cat Stevens converted to Islam in 1977 and adopted the name Yusaf Islam.

The prominent boxer Muhammad Ali (born Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr.) also converted to Islam in 1964.

US Used The Kashmir Earthquake to Send Intelligence Operatives into Pakistan

That’s the charge the National Journal’s Marc Ambinder makes in his very interesting new book on Joint Special Operations Command, coauthored with D.B. Grady.

They write:

The U.S. intelligence community took advantage of the chaos to spread resources of its own into the country. Using valid U.S. passports and posing as construction and aid workers, dozens of Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) operatives and contractors flooded in without the requisite background checks from the country’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency. Al-Qaeda had reconstituted itself in the country’s tribal areas, largely because of the ISI’s benign neglect. In Afghanistan, the ISI was actively undermining the U.S.-backed government of Hamid Karzai, training and recuiting for the Taliban, which it viewed as the more reliable partner. The political system was in chaos. The Pakistani army was focused on the threat from India and had redeployed away from the Afghanistan border region, the Durand line, making it porous once again. To some extent, the Bush administration had been focused on Iraq for the previous two years, content with the ISI’s cooperation in capturing senior al-Qaeda leaders, while ignoring its support of other groups tha would later become recruiting grounds for al-Qaeda.

A JSOC intelligence team slipped in alongside the CIA. The team had several goals. One was prosaic: team members were to develop rings of informants to gather targeting information about al-Qaeda terrorists. Other goals were extremely sensitive: JSOC needed better intelligence about how Pakistan tranported its nuclear weapons and wanted to pentrate the ISI. Under a secret program code-named SCREEN HUNTER, JSOC, augmented by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and contract personnel, was authorized to shadow and identify members of the ISI suspected of being sympathetic to al-Qaeda. It is not clear whether JSOC units used lethal force against these ISI officers; one official said that the goal of the program was to track terrorists through the ISI by using disinformation and psychological warfare. (The program, by then known under a different name, was curtailed by the Obama administration when Pakistan’s anxiety about a covert U.S. presence inside the country was most intense.)

Meanwhile, rotating teams of SEALs from DEVGRU Black squadron, aided by Rangers and other special operations forces, established a parallel terroris-hunting capability called VIGILANT HARVEST. They operated in the border areas of Pakistan deemed off limits to Americans, and they targeted courier networks, trainers, and facilitators. (Legally, these units would operate under the authority of the CIA any time they crossed the border.) Some of their missions were coordinated with Pakistan; others were not. As of 2006, teams of Green Berets were regularly crossing the border. Missions involved as few as three or four operators quietly trekking across the line, their movements monitored by U.S. satellites and drones locked onto the cell phones of these soldiers. (The cell phones were encrypted in such a  way that made them undetectable to Pakistani intelligence.) Twice in 2008, Pakistani officials caught wind of these missions, and in one instance, Pakistani soldiers operating in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas fired guns into the air to prevent the approach of drones.

Forward intelligence cells in Pakistan are staffed by JSOC-contracted security personnel from obscure firms with insider names such as Triple Canopy and various offshoots of Blackwater, but it is not clear whether, as Jeremy Scahill of the Nation has argued, the scale of these operations was operationally significant or that the contractors acted as hired guns for the U.S. government. Sources say that only U.S. soldiers performed “kinetic” operations; Scahill’s sources suggest otherwise. The security compartments were so small for these operations (one was known as QUIET STORM, a particularly specialized mission targeting the Pakistani Taliban in 2008) that the Command will probably be insulated from retrospective oversight about its activities. A senior Obama administration official said that by the middle of 2011, after tensions between the United States and the Pakistani government had reached an unhealthy degree of danger, all JSOC personnel except for its declared military trainers were ferreted out of the country. (They were easy to find using that same secret cell phone pinging technology.) Those who remained were called Omegas, a term denoting their temporary designation as members of the reserve force. They then joined any one of a dozen small contracting companies set up by the CIA, which turned these JSOC soldiers into civilians, for the purposes of deniability.
